His trifecta of defeat including the Senate was mainly attributable to him not putting the nation's interests ahead of his own ego when he lost the election.

If he had urged everyone to fall in behind Biden and push for a better America his statesmanship would have cemented his standing with his existing supporters and won over many new followers.

But as we have seen the boy just didn't have the intelligence or maturity to formulate such a prudent/damage limitation strategy.

Yeah. There are a number of ways in which specifically he lost the Senate seats in Georgia

His care and concern for the citizens who depend on him for leadership is evident. I mean, he spends about 99 percent of his time talking about how he won the election (lie) and the rest of the time is spent talking about how great he is and how everyone else is terrible. He hasn't addressed Covid concerns except to push blame on anyone else and has put nearly all of his time and energy into fighting against democracy and committing federal crimes. So yeah, with his brand of 'leadership' and the way some of those Republicans still kissing his ass are acting, it's no wonder they lost all three. The man is a disease to everyone.

the rest of the time is spent talking about how great he is and how everyone else is terrible.

It's difficult to imagine why people would vote for a delusional braggard like that, but then again American society really has been dumbed down to that sort of high school mentality. Trump is a reflection of the general attitude in the US, which has become: winning at all costs.

It's strange, but some of those obnoxious character flaws you listed remind me of someone.

Now, let me think who that person may be.

Em, it's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't get it to gel in my mind.

Can anyone else help out here?

I have to disagree with one of your lines, Mint. The ".... and the rest of the time is spent talking about how great he is .... " (etc.) A large part of that "rest of the time" was spent GOLFING and using up millions of tax dollars that COULD have been allocated to the distribution of the vaccines and saving American lives. It costs America millions to protect his ass while he golfs .... and he puts a LOT of that in his own Trumpian pockets!

The rest is spot-on!

AH!!! Of course! I forgot about golfing. Hm...I'll have to adjust my numbers. Ok, how about this, while he's golfing he spends 70 percent of the time talking to himself about how great he is, and 30 percent of the time blaming others for his terrible swings. When he isn't golfing those numbers change.
