Turn Wikipedia into an Educational System

Wikipedia, as we all know, is a great recource that this wonderful innovation, the internet, provides. And none of us are able to say we haven't at least once relied on it for information. As where the argument about Wikipedia being editableis thereby its information possibly unbacked or unproveable, those things are typically moderated. And discrepancies exist in any study nonetheless. Anyway, the jargon barrier and prerequite education barrier to some topics can make it difficult to understand something of interest. I suggest turning wikipedia into an educational resource by having these barriers addressed with a more gradual informational progress. Also, keep the damn thing free; if you can independently learn something, then you deserve the knowledge.

Well, for the jargon barrier, there is the simple Wiki.

I love Wikipedia for recreational learning but if I was going to turn a free knowledge website into an educational system, it would be Khan Academy. It's convinced me that with only a little more progress, computer programs could easily beat out human teachers almost every time.

Haha I thought that was in my namesake at first then I remembered I have no ego... and I googled that. Furthermore, I didn't know about the simplified wikipedia and I would still advocate for one that progresses you into the jargon as opposed to avoiding it. Nevertheless wikipedia did a good thing with that.

Then we so ambitious ones can learn everything, muahahaha! The irony is that I can't even type in structure.

Wikipedia is another example on how freedom, with the expense of security, still ends up working out better than regulation and control in a modern society.

The educational system, if anything, is inferior to Wikipedia. The only issue is that most teachers are employed by the government and NOT by private entities (thanks to government).

oooooooohhhhh, off topic but still awesome.

A bit off topic aha, but oh well we all do that. I'm actually very thankful for Wikipedia myself. What a bold goal for that man to undergo. And it actually WORKS and STILL SO. my only issue with privatized funding would be the influence it could create.. such as the misinterpretation or persuasion of certain facts to obtain some sort of advertising advantage or so on... but when is that not an issue, with privatization or government influence?
