My nephew wasn't an illegal "alien". He didn't have health insurance. He'd been sick (in Texas) for weeks. Didn't want to spend the ridiculous price for a doctor, didn't think it warranted going to the ER. Finally, it got so bad he HAD to go to the ER. They diagnosed him with Cancer, he died 2 days later at 45. I think you'll find that most uninsured people in the U.S. are CITIZENS, some working two jobs to make ends meet, and they STILL can't afford health insurance, and pay their atrocious rent, and feed their family, and put needed gas in their car! I've lived in "good economies", THIS IS NOT ONE! A good economy is one where you (in the middle and lower classes) can get ahead, can put some away for that "rainy day"! This is not only a stagnant economy, this is a deteriorating economy! Getting harder to make ends meet EVERY DAY! Any "benefit" derived from the last "tax cut" is long gone if you are in either of those mentioned classes! Health insurance is becoming as unthinkable to have, as it is unthinkable to be without! When it comes to feeding your family THAT is the top priority, while health care becomes a vanity. ER medicine is the most expensive medicine! The PERSON might not pay, but the PEOPLE will! If you don't wish to pay into a fund that other people can use for health care, you WILL pay into that one. That's my stupid comment, you've already made yours. ;-( Side: Read My Stupid Comments
