US once again takes down terrorist leader as socialists allegedly do nothing.? Donald Trump milked the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to the full, as was to be expected. It is the one foreign and defence policy success he has had after a string of failures. It was also, according to him, a massive riposte to all those who had savaged his policy in Syria. And, he must have felt, a very welcome distraction from an ever widening Impeachment hearing and his other travails. But in reality, the killing of the Isis leader took place not because of Mr Trump’s actions, but despite them. It was made possible due to a significant amount of information which had been passed by Kurdish allies in Syria he had abandoned and carried out by the US military and intelligence services - people who he had regularly traduced. 2

I agree with you. Since FromWithin bans everyone, I am copying some of his debates. I am going to vote for Bernie Sanders, and have changed to being social democrat. Good on you. I'm a big fan of Bernie Sanders. I'd vote for him too if I were American. What irritates me about the hardcore political extremism of people like FromWithin is the way they carefully select bits of information like they were taking it from a Pick 'n Mix candy store. Anything they don't like the taste of they ignore. ISIS almost certainly wouldn't even exist were it not for the Conservative war hawks who demanded to invade Iraq. Now he wants to play the hero because, after murdering God knows how many people, another Conservative war hawk has claimed credit for taking out the leader. Not the organisation mind.
