U.S.A or E.U? Which is better to live in?
The U.S.A may be the land of the free, but the E.U is now the richest place in the world. Which would you rather live in?

Well, considering the fact that the E.U is not a continent, but a collection of states that follow the same economic policy, but can create their own laws, and that the U.S is a collection of states that follow the same economic policy but can create their own laws (federation), I'd say that it is quite fair to compare the two. A "better life" is a complex issue, but we can loosely define it as being satisfaction with life, having personal freedom of thought and expression, and being safer in general, among other things. I will show, through clear, pragmatic and objective analysis, that Europeans have better lives than Americans, and therefore that the EU is a better place to live in than the US. A study has been conducted in determining quality of life in nations, called the "Human Development Index", based on key measures such as life expectancy, education, and GDP. It finds that 7 of the top 10 countries are European, whilst the US is 13th. Lets take the measurement of satisfaction with life. A study was conducted by psychologists recently, to compile statistics on the citizens of nations who considered themselves satisfied with life. The study found that European nations were among the most satisfied, with Finland being the happiest nation on earth and 11 of the top 20 nations in terms of satisfaction with life were European. In contrast, the US came 23rd in this index. Murder is a blight on society and, unfortunately, is much higher in the US than in the average European nation. In research compiled by the Geneva Declaration, it was found that North America has a rate of 6.5 per 100,000 people, but Europe has a mere 1.5 per 100,000 people. I know where I'd rather live. The average American will tell you that he or she has much more freedom of expression and thought than in "socialist" Europe, how wrong he or she is. American schools indoctrinate their pupils with a patriotic fervour that wouldn't be misplaced in the most dictatorial of states. There is a high level of indoctrination also towards being Christian, and therefore not allowing children and consequently adults to come to an independent conclusion about the origins of life, something not seen nearly as much in Europe. Lastly, it is worth noting that the US is leading the way in the western world in spying on its own people, freedom, eh. Side: Ode to Joy, mother******!

Europe because people don't mind helping each other. Sorry USA, you're a bit behind with your healthcare system and half of you are creationists, so there has to be something up with your education system as well. If you actually followed your constitution, the USA would be a great place to live. Also, there are so many righties in America. Side: Ode to Joy, mother******!
