View of a Man V.S. View of a Woman

What does it mean to be a man? What does it mean to be a woman? I would like to know YOUR deffinition or view on what a man or a woman is in today;s society. What does a boy have to do to become a man and what does a girl have to do in order to become a woman? Does souciety agree with what you think being a man or woman is? Why?

everyone thinks differently anyway so it doesn't really matter either way if you think about women think safety first usually and men think fun but it can be the other way around it really depends on the person your looking at.

The main and real difference between men and women are hormones. Hormones are the cause of emotions ( and numerous other things) which creates the biggest rift between the sexes.

Qualifications for being a man include, but are not limited to: standing up for your values and beliefs, and taking care of your family and the people who are important to you. The same goes for women.

There is not any one particular life event or rite of passage that transforms you into a man or woman. I would consider being self-sufficient and independent as a mark of adulthood (man or woman). Both of these characteristics are qualities that are appreciated in America.

The true definition of a man or a woman is so much more than genetics or hormones. We can simply identify people by gender but that does not necessarily mean that they are what we identify them by. Boys and girls that grow up to be real men and women as adults are those that value their families and the ideals they embody. Those values are not necessarily the same thing in every family but the important thing is that they understand the importance of standing for something. Typically in our society "real men" are those that support and protect their family and "real women" are those that nurture their family. Regardless of what they stand form real men and women must take a stand for something.
