Inevitably, violence only creates more problems.

The question is if the set of problems left after the violence are easier for you to handle than the set of problems that will arise by not being violent.

In the end it never solves anything but people don't resort to it to solve things, only to alter them.

Violence, at least in terms of war, is typically carried out to get rid of who we fear.

How can you disagree with The Eccentric's perfectly worded argument? :D

Side: Agree

History disagrees with this.

If it weren't for people taking to violent measures to solve things then Hitler would have dominated all of Continental Europe and probably even further and hundreds of millions of people would still be suffering under the yoke of fascism and this is only one example.

Violence should be a last resort but sometimes it is necessary and what must be done for the greater good.

So you are saying violence solves the problems created from violence. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, since I want to stay objective, I'm just reiterating and clarifying.

Yes that is what I am saying. As long as there are other people out there who are going to be violent some violence will always be necessary to stop them.

You are not even a Buddhist you wannabe cunt.

Aside from that, history proved that problems arose form violence, it never solved anything.

Even Hitler's reign stemmed from the violence of Hitler to begin with and the violence that was given back at Hitler didn't solve the problem, it only created several new ones.

It was merely that the set of problems after the war seemed more desirable than the ones which would stem from not fighting the Nazi rule.

To be perfectly honest with you I actually agree with you. I don't consider myself worthy of being able to call myself Buddhist, now I just think of myself as some one who tries (and fails) to practice Buddhism.

I've punched plenty of faces and the impact of the punches caused those faces to stop talking shit. It doesn't matter if my violence causes problems with their faces, because as long as the trash talk has stopped then my problem has been solved. And you don't always get caught, so there isn't always bad consequences. yadayadayada

What cannot be solved by violence can be solved much brutal and ruthless violence :D

Violence solves everything in the end... the fact is this world is and always has been run by violent thugs and criminals who impose laws on the populace to try to prevent others from coming to power through the same means they did.

Violence solves everything in the end...

It can't solve 2+2...<.<

That I could agree with, but it partially solves a lot (i.e. mentioned above Hitler), Napoleon, possibly George Zimmerman? What about Beswick? I can find some more old cases of this for you:

Here's how that case was resolved if you need further proof that it solves SOMETHING:
