Wacko Progressive sets himself on Fire !!!!!
A lawyer who burned himself to death in a grisly protest against ecological destruction was a nationally known gay rights advocate and lead attorney in a famous case involving transgender murder victim Brandon Teena.
The charred remains of 60-year-old David Buckel were found in a grassy meadow in Brooklyn's Prospect Park at dawn Saturday, as early-morning cyclists and joggers strode by. He left a suicide note in a shopping cart near his body, writing that he hoped his act would bring attention to the need to protect the environment.
"Most humans on the planet now breathe air made unhealthy by fossil fuels, and many die early deaths as a result - my early death by fossil fuel reflects what we are doing to ourselves," the note read, according to the New York Times which received an emailed copy.
The American Progressives get Crazier by the day !!!!!!!!!!
Susan Sommer said "He was a very smart"
Well probably not so much LMMFAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the process of incinerating himself he added to the greenhouse gases to which he was objecting.
Due to his unbalanced state of mind this oddball probably was a suicide waiting to happen but he decided for the sake of his family to alleviate the stigma associated with taking one's own life by quoting the noble cause of trying to save the planet.
Progressive your party is encouraging it not me but being your to damn blind to reality is clearly understandable !!!!!!!
Like all those who object to the the evils of the status quo this, crazy mixed up latter day hippie took his life instead of presenting his alternative clean energy sources.
A 5 year old kindergarten child could cite how we're all destroying our planet by burning carbon based fuels to power our factories and homes.
If such accurate assertions are not accompanied with detailed suggestions of substitute energy sources with which to keep the wheels of industry turning and the home fires burning they are useless.
There are already plenty of options for clean energy, the problem is the status quo is built around primitive energy sources because that is what the establishment is financially invested in. The thing to understand is that there is no need to rely on any one specific primary source, what we need is more of a balance and mix of wind, solar, fossil fuels, geothermal etc. But instead oil fuels the global economy because of financial interests that have nothing to do with what is more efficient or practical. I implore you to research the petrodollar system.
Hi Observer, Yes, a department of my company which I ran for over 30 years was involved in energy conservation measures and I attended many seminars on the topic of the various non carbon based energy sources.
As part of a consortium consisting of my company and two of my competitors we made plans, which reached a fairly advanced stage with government enterprise grants etc., being offered to manufacture wind turbines at Harland &Wolff's shipyard in Belfast.
I even visited Nigeria with a view to installing a solar panel power supply system for their proposed waste disposal plant at lagos.
Although my visit was pre-arranged it was a shambles from the start and this combined with anti-white racism along with an open culture of bribery and corruption I returned home before discussions could even begin properly.
Indeed I felt I was lucky to make it back home alive.
As Nigeria is an oil producing nation it was probably naive of me to expect my business venture to end in success.
As there are probably more brains on the board of directors of oil the giants and financial institutions with vested interested in oil than exists in most of the world's governments the move away from oil will be significantly longer than it would have to be.
