You say they are a good way to end conflicts not the best way and that's what we are debating, on top of that solving conflicts don't just need you to show off the number of power you have to scare away others you do realize that concept is also the concept of middle and high school bullies use right? Morally speaking when did bullying become the best way to solve a topic I thought they taught in school to 10-year-olds that doing such an act is wrong? To all those who say war is the best way to end conflicts, you do know WWI was seen as the war to end all wars? Guess what though it wasn't. War is the ultimate way to decide an argument in your favor. It is the tool of those who are unable to succeed in diplomacy for whatever reason. Many wars are fought because oppressed people lack the ability to protect and defend their own position and must be assisted by those who have the power to take down an oppressive regime. Other wars are fought for territory and power within a region. Still there are other conflicts waged because intolerance toward religious belief compels people to arms rather than being willing to 'live and let live'. While we all wish that we could live in peace, we have yet to developer a civilization that can truly overlook the offenses that are deliberately caused by another without becoming the doormat of the world's dictators. War is sometimes the ONLY way to solve a conflict but should never be the first option. Side: yes

Peace has no alternative. And peace has no replacement. However, no matter how peaceful one is unless the other party does not respond by peace. Sometimes war may bring a temporary solution to the peace but it may not be as stable as peace. What can you expect from a country like Pakistan and North Korea ? Pakistan spending most money on destructive activities, knowing that this is destructive not for India but for the entire world, and most importantly even for the Pakistan itself. For last decade there was not a single terrorism related event happened in any part of the world and Pakistan was not involved. Pakistan is really a country that doesn't know the language of peace. No peaceful person can sleep with wild wolf. If you want peace, the peace in the same amount must be responded by the other side as well. Punishment has its own role in promoting positive attribute in a Society. There are some stage where war also brings solution. Therefore, war always not necessarily is negative. India avoided war against Pakistan result is Kashmir and extinction of 28% Hindu minority from there, plus two war against Pakistan and two war against China. Because of former prime minister Pt. Nehru's peace policy India lost its territory to China and Pakistan. But in current situation one can see what happened in Doklang, China knew very well that this time the prime minister is different. So, the war was avoided and sought out the peaceful solution. Peace produces peace all the time not necessary. Therefore, the alternative must be kept always open. Wicked nature person or country may not understand the language of peace. From Hindu scriptures there are several example where war / punishment recommended by the spiritual authorities.
