Was the No Child Left Behind Act a good decision?
Take the position of a high school student who has class with special needs kids every other day - is it fair to the student? Is it fair to the special education child? Is it fair that the teacher must orient his class around one student that cannot understand the concept of slope intercept form? Or do those special needs children have just as much right to the chance of being normal that everyone else does?
You decide.
Yes - They have rights

No Child Left Behind has caused our schools to pass students who would otherwise have been kept a grade back. Rather than force schools to better-educate these children, it forces them to rig the results. I have it from two reliable sources that teachers are punished if they fail a student who deserves a failing grade, the teachers must forge grades or inflate test scores in order to meet a quota. Side: No - it's not fair

The No Child Left Behind Policy (from what I hear from teachers) is bad and needs to be revised. I went to a private school for high school so I didnt have to deal with it. My mother was a teacher and didnt like it because it holds the teachers accountable. It requires students to pass an exam at the end of the year to pass the class. Not every brain is the same. If a student fails the exam then the teacher can be held responsible for not teaching that student very well. I think the teachers can lose their jobs if too many students fail the exam. So it is not fair to the students and teachers. Side: No - it's not fair
