Was the US invasion of North Korea (1950) acceptable?
North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950 after a few years of tension, but then the US decided to help the South, and prevent the attacks from the North. However, when they had pushed them back to the border between the two states, they went on to invade further into the country. Also, President Truman claimed that it was partly to defend democracy, but was the South really a democratic state at that point? They used Japanese troops and police to repress the people, and killed thousands in riots and protests over the years, while also preventing any left wing parties.
