We're all part of society and should play our part in its collective responsibilities as well as influencing or changing its structure through reasoned persuasion for the common good of all.

The juvenile pastime of bellyaching or denouncing the status quo without presenting a realistic alternative is akin to a spoilt brat winging about having to go to school.

The society one lives in is one influence of many environmental influences on a persons state of mind. Other influences, such as education and different societal exposure, will often cause a person to challenge the prevalent view within ones society.

Society also has to justifies the criteria used to determine acceptable speech. Some justifications are better than others. But it’s not arbitrary. It’s not merely the whim of societies elites.
