Emo is bull! Even people who claim to be Emo say it's not really about cutting, or depression but they can't tell you what it is about. They use it as a front and excuse. You may hear them saying "You don't understand, we're emotional, we have issues." Everyone is emotional and has issues, the difference is non-emo people don't wave there arms in the air looking for attention because of it. They actually deal with their issues and move on, and don't ask for a metal because of it. They don't try to get out of doing things because they have issues, they do things despite their issues. Emo people are full of crap, your a bunch of cry babies, no one feels sorry for you because you're just like everyone else. Quit being a Pussy about it. It's called life, being Emo about it is just avoiding life. Stop wasting everyones time with your Bull and deal with it. You're not better than anyone else. Side: Emo

Okay, i can understand that you have your own opinion, but unless you truly understand somwthing, don't comment. You are obviously not aware that we do not give our self's the stereotype 'Emo.' It is given to us by our peers, all because we enjoy listening to people who scream instead of sing. Because we like real instruments instead of noise made by a machine. All because we dress the way we do. We do these things because we want to find something in common with someone else, to know we are not alone. Obviously you have never been exiled by people who think you are different. Yes, most people who are into self mutilation take on the stereotype because that is how they associate self mutilation. But did you know that people who are considered 'Preps' also self injure, the 'jocks', the 'nerds'. They do it because they need to relieve the emotional pain, not because they want attention. I understand there are some people that do do it for attention, but not all of us. So grow up and stop judging people for the way they dress and the things they do. i agree that it is just an excuse for attention i have a friend who has no parents her brother died not to long ago and is soon going into foster care but she doesn't go around saying hey im emo because my life sucks. she is dealing with the sadness like a normal person would. saying your emo when you have the littlest of problems is ridicules.
