We should not hunt tigers any more

We should not hunt tigers any more because there is not many left. If we hunt them all then there will be no parents to have babys so then tigers will be extinct. We can not let that happen.

I agree!!

Did you know there are only about 3000 tigers left in the entire world?? Well, that is....tigers living free and in the wild.

But here in the united States we have about twice that number in captivity. Mostly in zoos.

One of the wildlife charities I am on the board of is one to save the Florida panther, who is in worse peril than the tiger! There's only a few dozen panthers left! Fifty years ago we had hundreds!

The tigers are supposed to be a protected species in Africa, but the government's there are very untrustworthy and cannot be depended on to enforce protection laws. They will allow tigers to be hunted and killed for sport if the money is good. Since most African nations are poor. This is where international wildlife protection organizations must come into the picture.

Go online and see what you can do to help these guys. Or see if your parents will! I say that since you sound young.

But I appreciate your concern and knowledge about the tigers! They are magnificent creatures!

Tigers do not naturally live in Africa; they live in Asia and Russia.

ya got me there! good catch.

Although they DID originate there and are of the same felidae family as lions and leopards, you're right....no tigers anymore on the African Continent. It's the lions I was thinking of. (also endangered, I believe?)
