Everything is what you make of it. If the world gives you Lemons....

That's a very negative way to look at things. I'd prefer to look at it this way:

Hey! Right now, things suck. I know. But, we need to look at the glass is half full! Remember that nothing is permanent except death. And we don't even know if that's permanent. Everything can be fixed with enough money, cooperation, or intimidation. I know my (our) future's not looking so good right now, but maybe, just maybe, I (we) might have the chance to sacrifice my (our) generation so the next generation won't have to deal with the crap that's going to be passed on to me (us)!

So, if we did screw ourselves for good, I'm happy that I'm alive to be given a taste of the good life, and on the eve of adulthood, right when I'm about to be able to use and get all of these great things that I've seen and heard about my whole life, they're going to be impossible to attain due to some greedy rich idiots! Really, I appreciate it.

I'm just glad that I'll be able to look down at future generations, shrug my shoulders, and say "Wasn't me."

We have to live with our mistakes. If someone is in an uncontrollable situation, the only thing they can do is try to salvage what's left and continue on.

You can't imagine what a huge kick I got out of looking at this debate on the homepage and seeing the winning position be "lemonade". CD never ceases to make me laugh..
