Well we adapted to eat meat. I know we used to have stomachs that could digest tree bark. Now we can't. Your appendix has no function anymore. Its vestigial. It still takes in blood and what not but it serves no purpose. It did release strong enzymes to break the tree bark down. Over time we have evolved to eat meat. Mostly because humans back then changed their diet. So now we are adapted to eat meat and we get most of our amino acids from meat. Veggies have amino acids too. So you may be right. Side: yes
We are, so we must be. Plus, people who try to stick to either meat or just veggies have issues with it. Vegetarians need protein, vitamins, and minerals that they take tablets for in place of meat. Carnivorous people get heart, and cholesterol problems. When you balance it, you survive without pills or doctors. Side: yes
Why would you need practice to do something that's supposed to be natural? That's like saying are humans meant to breathe air, because some people get away with breathing in smoke, yet the people that do have particular ways to do it right. Side: yes
I do have a semantic issue with the phrase "meant to be", however I'm going to assume it's not going to be an issue of debate here and just respond to the general statement. Certainly. Humans can easily eat both meat and/or plants. And we have the option to be a carnivore or herbivore too if we so chose to be thanks to our modern technology. Humans have more options that will adapt to their lifestyle than ever before for diet. My taste buds and decision still leads to an omnivore lifestyle, and I'm alright with that. Side: yes

Even though history proves that we're here BECAUSE OF OMNIVOROUS ACTIVITY!? Pity you are poor in history. Man started being a carnivore, then when he discovered agriculture, it was a huge step in the evolution of mankind and he became a herbivore. If not for agriculture, the human specie would have been extinct like the dinosaurs. It's a separate issue that greed and insensitivity led him to be a carnivore+herbivore. Side: yes
