You have a short time to find Him. Otherwise you won't be
able to! It's not going to happen by way of us needing to store supplies, and as described in much of the end times hype.
It's going to be less dramatic in its appearance, at first.
It will be very dramatic if you can actually see, but if you are darkened and you choose to remain in darkness, the flood of deceptions will sweep you away and you won't even know it!
Turn your eyes for a few moments, and see things around you as they are. Maybe God will let you see some hint of what is happening in these end times.
I never studied end times, I didn't consider them an urgency. I didn't have an interest in the hype of 2000, I did nothing to prepare, not even one thought of concern.
The TV evangelists always bothered me, and the end time fanatics always bothered me. So I'm not one to listen to either
of those sources. I'm very selective of truth and you can say I'm pretty skeptical of most Christian leaders.
The end times is now, and some bowls of wrath have already been poured, darkness and deceptions like a flood!
Luke 17

Deception and sin in will be on Parade like never before.
This has been poured out, and the flood of deceptions is sweeping people away, it's so strong that even the elect
need to be rescued from it.

If you look around truth is hard to find, it's not in the churches, it's not in education, it's not in media, or in politics.
There has been an overtaking of false truths defined by prespective, whatever your truth is, is truth!
Even in standards facts, facts don't matter either.
Open your eyes to deceptions!

This is wrath, darkness poured out like never before.
Look at politics, look at Hillary, the media is even staging news. Lies are easily accepted, it's not even shocking!
Since when does truth matter so little?
Can you see darkness is reigning everywhere, even in big denominations?

You are correct! That WAS the original number. Although the deeper one looks into the whole origin thing of Mark of the Beast (which for brevity's sake we will from now on refer to as "MOB") the more one finds a lot of speculation and guesswork.
I would have to go with 666 if I had to guess. It has more authentication, and that is the number mentioned in the Book of Revelation when they said the number of the Beast was "six-hundred and threescore plus six." (A score being equal to 20).
I also like the old idea of 6 being used since it it LESS than 7 and we know of 7 being a very revered number in the Bible, stemming back to Genesis and Creation, of course.
I guess I should have elaborated a little more on the whole 666 thing and the MOB. I don't believe a word of it! You DO know I am an atheist, right? I believe the Bible to be simply a collection of Bronze Age Mythologies. Comprised of a helluva lot of allegory and metaphor and fables, meant to convey an ancient tribal people's feelings on God. And the Jews invented Yahweh only to rival Baal, who theretofore was the numero uno kick-ass God of the Time. The Agricultural Sky God! So they Hebes, tired of getting their asses handed to 'em every other day and getting enslaved and beat down, were compelled to invent their OWN sky God.
Viola! Meet Yahweh. A tyrannical, murderous, genocidal, petty, jealous, bully of a God. So endowed by his creators with human emotions and frailties as to render him little more than a Caricature. A Cartoon God.
And hey, we also need to address the fact, while we are speaking of Satan and Evil and all that: Yahweh in the Torah (the OT) did a lot more evil and killed millions more than Satan ever did. Who knows? Maybe Satan (Hasatan) was on our side all the time? As his name means "The Accuser" perhaps he was accusing ol Yah Yah of being a bit too heavy handed in meting out his punishments?
So....yeah, I am an atheist. But I have read a lot of the bible as well as the holy books on other religions. (The Bible borrows (steals?) a LOT from earlier peoples, like the Sumerians, BTW, who had their very own Flood Mythos. Yep: the Epic of Gilgamesh. Which predates the Torah, of course. SO how can Noah and all that be real if there was already a story like that from a couple hundred or more years earlier?
As you can tell I am very well-versed in Theology, and in the Bible, as well as Judaism and Islam and Buddhism and Taoism. I think of all that stuff as literature. Like Greek Mythology! And indeed I place just as much credence in Greek Mythos and, say, the story of Zeus or Apollo, as I do in the reality of Yah Yah stopping the sun in the sky so his boys could have a bit more time for some ethnic cleansing.
This is what makes me so very dangerous and also maddening and frustrating to the Christians on this site: I am a rabid atheist who knows as much if not more about their book, it;s origins, and their religion than do they.
It's like the old saying that I go by: Keep your friends close. But keep your enemies closer.
I hope you take no offense to this. I am just a non-believer in your mythology, that's all. But I DO enjoy debating it and will be happy to do so in the future with you or answer any more questions. Hopefully you'll be more fun than Saint Now, whom I have grown a bit tired of, as he does not debate his beliefs so much as simply repeat them and ask us why we're not burning in Hell.
As a science guy, I only believe what I see that has been tested and proven. Or what has such a magnitude of hard science evidence that it is far more likely to be true than not.
Evolution is an example of this.
But your gods and bible stories? Like when a trumpet blast destroys a fortress wall? Or a Bronze Age sky god parts millions of tons of seawater so as to allow his besties to escape their pursuers?

OK...see,,,it is YOU who are the non-neutral (read: biased) one here. Why? Because you, like the vast majority of all other believers in your god and your bible, are that way simple because you were TAUGHT to believe. Indoctrinated. Usually as kids. You certainly cannot be believers from looking at the world around you. OR from experimenting and testing. Rather, when you claim that god is working, well, you are really only engaging in what is known in debate circles as "confirmation bias." Also "cherry picking" since you guys arrogantly dismiss a lot of proven science.
LOL.....no proof. Not a shred. Plus, these things violate known physical laws. So the "neutral" or default position when reading about them is to take them as pure fiction, or as fables made of allegory.

Richard Dawkins even says that he would be happy and willing to dismiss Evolution as wrong. IF, that is, they were to discover something that discredited it. Something like finding a radiometric dated fossil in the wrong strata of rock. Just one fossil! But guess what? It's never happened! Rather, Evolution has passed every single solitary test ever thrown at it. And with flying colors.
Thus, a neutral person accepts is in view of its mountains of evidence and also the total LACK of evidence for an alternative hypothesis explaining how we got where we are today.
Again...and in closing........Atheism is the DEFAULT position. The burden of proof is on the Christian asserting God exists. All we're asking is to see the convincing empirical EVIDENCE.
You could not have weighed Biblical evidence, and have made a thorough honest investigation.
Why would one avenue of study be superior in selection of evidencdm having exclusive science evidence in bio studies, that still leave questions. There are also patterns of evidence in archeology and history that need to be considered as evidence included for comple investigation.
Math Science History - if you have a historical facts that has some unexplained scientifically, you can't ignore it because of science. You have to confirm th3 events historically then answer them with science.
So I'm saying that without weighing them and answering them then your scientific determinations regarding God are scientifically incomplete and is faulty because your investigation is void, because your are selective only of evidence that supports your conclusion, while ignoring evidence that challenges.

So when you take some of these stories like Joseph, it is both history and pre-foretold then combine that with others.
There are factors that defy math probability, and science.
And even if explained by science, was it purposeful intrusion to have the coincidence of perfect timing?

It's so-called "history books" (the first five of the OT) which are supposed to chronicle the history of the Bronze Age Jews, are even suspect. If not totally wrong. For example, are you aware there was no Exodus? Nope--not even close to the one that Exodus, Lev. and Deut. describe. I can past you as many links on this as you want if you don't believe me, but I invite you to look it up on your own.
And of course we all know it is impossible for Moses to have written the Torah (first five books) as you were taught in Sunday School, and which some fundies still believe. The fact that he DIED before the final book was complete and did not cross the river into the Promised Land should be a good enough clue for that. Yet, some of you guys still believe.
Since there are no signs we have no reason to investigate.

There are findings, and the findings are so detailed it reads like the Bible. That clear, yet mainstream atheism would rather remain true to a lie, than update their lies with truth.
The detailed accuracy of prophesies, added to seemingly supernatural control of those historical events are extreme in the unusual. And did occur and is historically confirmed.
These stories and the prophesies are sensational! Is there a Divine Intruder.
They are events with their outcomes leads likely scenarios likely of those the least likely outcome is usually the outcome, and it's historically confirmed by recent findings!
Its a question, this is history, the events had an unusual quality, and they had the most unlikely outcomes.
Then you put the pieces into the stories.

It's absurd to reach for an extraordinary event, extrordinary even for the Bible, in order to shut down any real challenges to your position requirong logic and reasoning to challenge your position.
Take the story of Joseph. His story was documented in detail, and then confirmed through findings.
The findings are impressive because the story line reads like it has not been disturbed. The condition of the findings are miraculous!
Every detail found confirms the stories progression, and that is supernatural preservation, even down to the famine and Egypts foreknowledge to store grain. So the evidence shows this to be true, As findings elevate Joseph above all in Egypt, a Hebrew?
That's a WTF moment. Think about how unlikely that was, what's the probability of events like this occurring methodically almost rhythmic, like the unfolding of prophesy is following a pre-thought route mapped out. With detailed prophesies making announcements at their appointed times!
You have to ask how things happened and why because they are not average, they are exclusive and unusual. You have to ask questions like how did Egypt know to prepare?
Could it be Joseph interpreted a strange dream and fore-warned Pharoah about the famine? Thereby raising Joseph a bought slave to an honor of a King in a land that was not his own.
So was a Divine Intruder involved?
Findings confirm Egypt had an extreme measure of economical growth and as a super power.
They found an Israel style mansion in the heart of Egyptian rule.
With all the crazy Jewish stuff you'd expect to see in a prophetic scene. There were 12 pillars and 12 coffins and 1 tomb had a statute of exalted reverence and honor.
Other findings show the wealth of Egypt growing, all seen like they are written in the undisturbed evidence. This is 4000 years ago.
I hope your more intelligent than maintaining a default position based on excluding evidence that threatens your safe place of knowledge.

No, I cannot. In fact I find it all but impossible to picture almost ANYthing from the Bible--especially the OT--as being real or having really happened. I am quite certain that the vast majority of it is simply allegorical or metaphorical in nature.
See..being a man of science, if somebody is going to make extraordinary claims, as you Christians who are biblical literalists do, then, well, they rightfully shoulder the burden of providing us non-believers ans doubters with extraordinary proof.

And what we call Transitional Fossils, which--contrary to what the Creationists claim--we have thousands of. These fossils show is the step-by-step progress of the Evolution of Man. And of us: homo sapiens. Going all the way back some 3 Million Years to our earliest ancestor: australopithecus afarensis.

well i am not even sure that is a real number. i think the origin is from the Book of Revelation, but I have personally seen three demons in my life and killed one of them and never saw the Mark.
most people dont have a clue what the number signifies, but i do..i just don't know if i believe it. the number 7 is very special in the bible////called a majic number!! and also it was bible tradition to say or write something threee times to enhance it or magnify it. So like 777 would be a awesome number. so 666 is signifying one less than 777 and three times of magnitude. this is the story i read once anyway in a demonology book that i use for reference.

So now i'm converted to Lutheranism, and am taking steps to enter their Seminary in the Spring of 2017. the first demon I killed was in a crack house in South Dallas, there were two of them and i got one before getting so ill (one of the side effects you get when yo come into contact with them) i had to run outside. i almost died from a heart attack, spent the night in the hospital. contrary to popular belief, while here on Earth demons can be killed by conventional weaponry--I used a 9 mil Glock I had at the time..three shots to its chest. the blood it spit out from the wound, or whatever it was--squirted about 10 feet and burned my left forearm and i still have a 3rd degree burn scar about the size of a silver dollar on it. i also still have tinntis in my ears and a 20% hearing loss. when you executioner demons your beset with a loud buzzing noise; rapid heart rate; flushed skin; nausea and vomiting. i was also so dehydrated i had to have glucose/saline IV in the hospital.
but once a demon subdues you and takes your spirit, your soul into their realm then they can't be killed anymore by conventional means. you have to get them while on the physical earthly plane. yeah i know this all sounds outlandish, but im relaying it to you as best i can and swear on my relationship with my God that all i said is true and happened as close as i can recall it. i bring no dishonesty here, and so i accept that many will mock me. that is fine. I only have one relationship that matters. i was in jail for three months, and my wife divorced me as well. yet...i wake up everyday smiling.
The veil ripping shows that we are cleansed to enter into the Holy place only Levites could enter. And some of them were struck dead.

As for the burning down things God is not asking anyone to burn down anything.

Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
The veil ripping shows that we are cleansed to enter into the Holy place only Levites could enter. And some of them were struck dead. And through the way of the Cross, that's why there is a narrow road we have to go through the Veil.
Severing flesh nature through Jesus nailing it to the Cross, to
a nature like His raised in Him.
But that's the Narrow gate!

The Lord said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter at any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, or he will die; for I will
appear in the cloud over the mercy seat.
Colossians 2

As for the burning down things God is not asking anyone to
burn down anything.
And what comes to mind about a physical confrontation with
a demons, I don't see that experience in the Word, the scriptue says

I heard him in the 80's He was pretty funny, yet delivers a sobering message about Satan and the effects that demons have in the lives of people who open the door to them.
Hmm I don't know, I can't confirm or deny your experience.
I have gifts of discernment, to see the persona of the evil spirits.
But I've never known anyone to have a physical confrontation with one.
I test truth by theology, not by experienced. God isn't in
a box, it wouldn't make sense to me, but God can move in unique ways, God is unsearchable so I don't limit Him.
So my test wouldn't be based on your experiences. I would look to see what truth is to you. The Truth speaks one language, so I'd have to hear more about the understanding you have of God.
So I'm not that moved one way or another about the physical confrontation with a demon, it's interesting. But not defining one way or another.
Why? Why do I need to pick a part of a fiction excerpt to defend? It's not my debate.
It's like if you posted from an old book on phrenology and I said it was all made up and your reply was tell me what part of phrenology makes the most sense to you.
