The best anime I've ever watched, in my opinion, is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Great story, great characters and amazing fight scenes. All-around great anime. Not to mention that it's quite a decent length.

FMA: brotherhood was an amazing anime. I can definitely agree with you on that. Even better than the original in my personal opinion.

Glad you agree! I was told not to bother with the original as the Brotherhood version is so much better.

I thought this was a good anime as well and when i watched it i had to finish it. I could see why you picked this one for your best watched anime. It never got boring it always keep its audience attention and it was a good length. Its hard when people have to answer questions like this.

I haven't seen all that many, but of what I HAVE seen, the first season of Death Note is my favorite.

To choose one is difficult, but I'll go for Monster. The design isn't anything special and it follows the manga very faithfully, but the plot is really quite amazing. it could be said though, that the manga was amazing, and the anime has just taken the amazingness and given it colour and movement.

Naruto. It is a very interesting storyline and pretty fun to watch. And the whole idea of tailed beasts, jinchuriki, jutsus and dojutsus are super cool. As for protagonists and antagonists they do a really good job of showing Naruto progress and mature throughout the show and help you really get to know his character. I didn't like him at first cuz he was pretty annoying but then you begin to understand him as the show progresses and I began to appreciate him. The antagonist part is really cool cuz there are so many sub-antagonists that have really a really major part in the show and you can really get to know them as well (Pain is my favorite). The major antagonist you never really know, even if you think you do, giving the show some interesting plot twists.

Why would someone downvote this? Especially without actually explaining why. That's stupid.

The only one I know of which don't think is crap is death note. It was one of the best things I have ever watched.

Death Note is good. They are going to come out with something similar called Death Parade, and it's by the the makers of Death Note.

Detective Conan; Case closed.

I really don't know why, it's just generally enjoyable.

Fate/Stay Night was one I really liked. Mainly for the storyline, though to be fair it appealed more to me when I was younger, to be fair, but I still thought it a good one.

I liked Blood+ a lot too- a good storyline, in my opinion one of the most interesting takes on its formula, with a nice touch of the macabre.

I've seen Blood+ and although the story was interesting it didn't do enough to keep my attention but I did enjoy the Vietnamese arc quite a lot. In terms of vampire anime I much prefer Shiki, a shorter series with much more daring artwork and some interesting comments on the ideas of peace and conflict.

I'm watching the re-make of fate/stay night and haven't seen the original. I still haven't got over how much I like Saber's battle dress.

S cry ed.

I know some people are gonna make statements like "its so overrated!" but I personally think Dragon Ball Z is the best anime. Not only was it the anime that actually started my love for the artwork and animation but it also holds so much nostalgic memories for me. Even today I still enjoy watching it.

This is probably one of the hardest question an anime watcher to answer, but with me though i would say Code Geass(both seasons). One reason why i like it so much is that it have a great story line. This anime have kept its audience to keep liking it and watch it to the end. Then there is the length of it, most animes are either too short or too long. I always thought this was a good length. Lastly they ended it very nicely.

I would have to say Akame Ga Kill! The anime is about a swordsman name Tatsumi who wants to work for the Capitol to save his starving village. He goes to the Capitol and fails to enlist to join the army, and he is taken captive by a noble family who later tries to kill him, but Night Raid, a group of assassin's rescue him, and recruit him. Night Raid's goal to get rid of the corruption inside the Capitol, and to defeat the former Prime Minister who is manipulating the child Emperor. That anime is really good, but also some people might hate it because of the ending.

I always liked the story line in Cowboy Beebop. I have always been a fan of the genre. It is set in space in the future, the expansion of humanity is reaching a lull, decadent societies are contrasted with destitute bubbles of humanity. Pockets of lawlessness exist mainly on the border worlds and stations. Bounty hunters are reffered to as Cowboys, mainly for the rough lifes they live while in their line of work and there is increasingly less work going around. The story is about the growing crew of the Beebop as they chase bounties.

I dislike giving spoilers so I won't go into details of the story arc, but I really liked the tone of it. Being a cowboy is a tough life and they show that well as the crew tries to scratch out a living. Their well being throughout the show mirrors the stettings disparate populations spread out through space. They have some pretty high highs and low lows.

I liked the reoccurring background characters, they weren't integral to any plot they just added to the feel of the surroundings. While chasing bounties across space there was often a group of old men sitting around at whatever planet they were on, playing checkers, cards etc. Discussing how they built the interstellar highways and complaining or making jokes. There are other reoccurring characters but those guys stuck out to me. If anyone has watched Avatar the Last Airbender the characters are like the guy with the cabbage cart. Its just kind of fun to see them.

Some comparisons may be Firefly for the type of settings and life the crew lives. As for the animation the same folks that did Beebop also made Samurai Champloo, it may be more well known.
