If he/she has had sight for a while can see visual images though it deteriorates as time passes.

Those who are completely blind can sense with the other sense organs including nose. If it is a terrifying dream they find themselves in the same darkness as in reality but they sense themselves walking or running at the sound of the object they fear. They even feel dampness if they are dreaming something similar.

My uncle (who is blind) said his dreams had bright colours in them and peoples faces, but he lost his sight instead of being born that way, so it depends on what kind of blind person - one who was born that way might have different dreams than those who lost their sight

Maybe their dreams are only sounds. .

I would imagine that they can visualize something, but probably not anything we would recognize.

I can imagine a blind person's dream would be like a Dr. Suess world. The Lorax is my favorite Dr. Suess book because the world is so twisted and corrupt. At the beginnig it's a beautiful world but it becomes barren because the Onceler cuts down every tree. It's just a thought. Maybe they don't dream? But, that could just be our way (people who can see) of comforting ourselves into thinking they arn't out of the ordinary. But, they are and arn't.

Who can tell? I'd say that without ever seeing, a blind person would experience dreams the way they experience the world, only with the same degree of oddness that a seeing person's dreams would display visually.
