What has George W. Bush done FOR America?

I've tried, but what pyg said, Africa is the only legitimate claim I can come up with... 8 years, wow. And really, relations with Africa? I mean, that's not the most important thing as far as foreign relations go.

One could say removing Saddam was a good thing, but it will be awhile before we know for sure, and I would guess it was actually counter productive in the region, as Iraq and Iran were a good balance of opposing powers, and now it seems they will be more allies.

I did find these though, which are enlessly entertaining:

"One of the very difficult parts of the decision I made on the financial crisis was to use hardworking people's money to help prevent there to be a crisis." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Jan. 12, 2009

"I'm telling you there's an enemy that would like to attack America, Americans, again. There just is. That's the reality of the world. And I wish him all the very best." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Jan. 12, 2009

"You know, I'm the President during this period of time, but I think when the history of this period is written, people will realize a lot of the decisions that were made on Wall Street took place over a decade or so, before I arrived in President, during I arrived in President." --George W. Bush, ABC News interview, Dec. 1, 2008

"I've been in the Bible every day since I've been the president." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Nov. 12, 2008

"Yesterday, you made note of my -- the lack of my talent when it came to dancing. But nevertheless, I want you to know I danced with joy. And no question Liberia has gone through very difficult times." --George W. Bush, speaking with the president of Liberia, Washington, D.C., Oct. 22, 2008

"This thaw -- took a while to thaw, it's going to take a while to unthaw." --George W. Bush, on liquidity in the markets, Alexandria, La., Oct. 20, 2008

"First of all, I don't see America having problems." --George W. Bush, interview with Bob Costas at the 2008 Olympics, Beijing, China, Aug. 10, 2008

Well you get the idea, there's about a million of them here link

Think what you will about the policies, but it has to be refreshing to at least have a president who actually knows what he's taking about and can communicate it clearly.

I can't say I haven't laughed at the things he came up with, and I'm sure that people gave up on him in every sense other than being a comedic figure.

Until you realize that "holly crap, dude, that's THE PRESIDENT"! That guy represented the American people for 8 years! So much was the damage done that suddenly all the Americans I know here in the UK were starting to hide their American accents!

What I find even more disturbing is the attitude of some Americans that completely underestimates the importance of foreign policy. This guy made America the most hated country in the world and half of Americans cheered him!

When you have no allies or friends, you have to wage war everytime you want something. How soon before the wars cripple the economy to its knees?....

I'll add one:

Majorly increased our good reputation with Africa. After all, he did do more for them than anyone else in the Universe.

everything else is debatable.

You're right. Bush failed in a lot of ways but when it came to Africa, he certainly did a lot of good.

If only he hadn't pissed off the other 5 continents (I'm not sure how Antarctica felt about him).

I think we're missing a continent, maybe Australia? But then they may not be pissed at Bush at all, I'm not sure. I will say though I think it's unfair one country has its own entire continent, maybe we should give GWB2 another shot, I'm sure it would be just a matter of time until he invades and splits up the Australian monopoly on the Australian continent. I mean, there's a lot of oil in Australia I've heard.

Side: Africa Loves Us

Made America affordable to foreign investors.

Made us the most hated country in the world.

Made Paris Hilton appear to be semi-intelligent.

Showed us that money can buy a college diploma.

Showed us that elections can be bought. (twice)

Gave David Letterman tons of new jokes.

Side: Single handedly brought down a nation

What has GWB done FOR America? He made us a nation of nitwits twice over. Some legacy, eh?
