All Hitler had to do to win the war was kill stupid people instead of the Jews. Not everyone hates Jews. But everyone hates stupid people. Especially if you have to deal with them on a regular/daily basis ;)

He opened up a war on two fronts when he wasn't ready for it (i don't think any country is really prepared to invade Russia through winter), which was an obvious drain on the war effort. He should have conquered western Europe before setting his sights on Russia.

And he openly allied with Japan, perhaps the most moronic participant in WWII. 'Hey, we're a little island off the coast of China... I bet we could take on the whole US and win....' Stupid, stupid Hirohito. If Japan had opened up it's own separate war against America - without an alliance with Germany - they wouldn't have been considered an Axis power, and the US would've had less reasons to start fighting with Germany post-Pearl Harbor.

Also, he had ambitions to conquer America. I'm not sure how that would've gone for him, but it gave America extra incentive to enter the war. While I know the US certainly didn't win the war for the Allies, they were no small help, either.

And, finally, he decided to commit genocide against the Jews. Germany could have been unified by the war effort without that shit on top, and it gave the countries fighting against Germany moral grounds for fighting. It wasn't just about survival or territory or politics it was about fighting evil.

All things considered, Germany, one little country in Europe, almost succeeded in taking the entire continent over the course of about 3 years with almost no help from their allies. Comparatively, the Allied powers consisted of a whole slew of different countries and they damn near lost the war. There can be no doubt Germany possessed a superior military at that time - and knew how to use it. Maybe if Hitler wasn't bat shit crazy and maybe if he didn't make some of the blunders I mentioned he could have won the war and maybe we'd be speaking German right now.
