There may have been a justifiable argument around the 50s-60s and maybe even the early 70s when the horrors of drugs were not thoroughly understood that junkies were no more than the sad victims of widespread ignorance. However, from the late 70s and 80s onward everyone, except those who were living on the moon, were fully aware of the life-ruining consequences of drug taking, but still they, and they alone, made the decision to jump on the nearest trusty steed and ride like blue blazes down the to hell. Why should medical resources be wasted on treating these useless, sub-humans while others, such as sick children who had no input into their malady are consigned to an early grave? Well, yes booze is a mind altering substance which will temporarily help to subdue the pains caused by life's inevitable trials and tribulations. The danger is that if we willfully cloud our troubles with alcohol or drugs, even just for the nonce, they'll be there waiting for us when we emerge from our self-induced stupor, only this time they'll be in wonderful CinemaScope, super stereophonic sound and glorious technicolor. I know too many people who have what I call an alcohol or drug personality. Without THEIR FIX they're quiet, retiring and boring. After they have THEIR FIX they liven up and become animated and quite jolly. Until that is, the effects of their poison wears off and they slump back into oblivion. Side: Weak mindedness.

I think people use drugs because they have mental illness most of the time. Illegal drugs can give you a temporary holiday from anxiety, depression etc. some people do it out of Peer Pressure and inadvertently get dependent (people without mental problems can experiment even with heroin and NOT get dependent). I can tell the truth about this because I have severe depression and I take LEGAL Drugs (they can help). But I never have been addicted to illegal drugs. Side: Eacape from reality.

I am firmly of the belief that most drug taking junkies have an inherent character weakness which leads them to eagerly and quickly accept their dependence on drugs at the expense of all else, including the relinquishment of their responsibilities to their families and the advancement of the wider communities in which they live. Just like alcoholics they remain in denial for most of their lives arguing that their addiction is harmless THERE IS NO HARMLESS LEVEL OF DRUG TAKING. SUCH LOWLIFES SHOULD BE TREATED AS PARASITIC LEPERS AND KEPT AWAY FROM CIVILIZED SOCIETY. Side: Weak mindedness.

If we break down the implications of this statement to the molecular level it is super duper extra retarded because it implies that we should stop eating, breathing, drinking water, or producing vital neurochemicals such as DMT which are technically both used as"drugs" but also naturally occurring in the brain. You stick to your drug taking and tickling your imaginary balls as that's clearly all you're good for. Even prescribed or naturally occurring drugs such as endorphin's will of course have side-effects, some beneficial, some unhealthy. Alternatively you could get high on your supply of illegal substances, which is what we're talking about here, and go yodelling up the canyon or some other such pastime more commensurate with your arrested intellect. The graveyards and drug rehabilitation centers are full of dim-witted fools such as you who have tried to convince themselves and others that drug abuse is safe. Why don't you provide the relevant law enforcement agencies with the details of your drug supplier?, I'm sure they'll be interested.
