What is Evil?

This topic stems from another debate, I am interested in your input on what you believe is Evil. Is Evil an extreme act, personality, or mindset that stems from your morality or is it more?  Do you believe it is attributed to an Evil force such as Satan, or the combination of the two?  There are stand out examples of Evil (to me anyway) such as joseph Mengele, Richard Ramirez, or Eddie Gein. What do you think?

I pretty much think anyone who is constantly, and purposely, doing things that hurts or upsets someone else is evil.

I mean, I don't think an act is evil unless someone planned it and hurts another. And for no reason.

Other than that I don't think much anything is evil, or even wrong. Pretty much my criteria for both.

As to where "evil" comes from. It doesn't. It's just a part of life like everything else and I don't think it had to come from anywhere. It's just how things are.

The meaning to the word is evil and the word itself is evil.

An evil heart contributes to evil and with each beat, the evil heart takes control of the mind and makes its owner do horrible things.
