harry potter will always be in my list of favorites. it's not something you can simply not like!

otherwise, there're other books that i really do like are pride and prejudice, percy jackson, eragon, jane eyre and a few others.

Hard to say.

For fiction...

Frank Herbert's 'Dune' series is up there.

Orson Scott Cards 'Ender' series is up there.

Douglas Adams 'Hitchhikers Guide' series is also up there.

GRR Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series is a relatively new entry into the list.

For non-fiction...

Kevin Mitnicks 'The Art of Deception' rates pretty highly.

John Gribbins 'In Search of Schrodingers Cat' is also excellent. Quite dated now, but still a very good beginners look into quantum theory, and written in a very amusing fashion that is often lacking in non-fiction from my experience.

The mythos of just about every religion (modern or ancient) ranks as well, though I'm hesitant to classify them as either fiction or non-fiction.

I could go on, and on, and on. I think it'd be easier to list books I didn't like than it would be to pick

That's A Popular One. What About Non Fiction? Do You Read Any, Or Do You Stick To Fantasy Books?

Lol, maybe he likes fantasy horror stories. ?

The funny thing is... I doubt he's even read the entire Bible.

The bible is non-fiction.

Any self respecting paleo-enthusiast should read it.

It's incredibly difficult to pick just one. Among my favorites are Crime and Punishment, 1984, The Great Gatsby, and Lord of the Flies.

you finally did read it theN? crime and punishment? :D

Yes! Haha I eventually get everything done. :) where have you been??

Favorite book, Cats cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

I like many of his books but that one I find to be a quicker read for most people than they anticipate. There are no chapters in it and the story is engaging you just keep reading until before you know it you are at the end.

Is that the one with ice-9? I read most of his shit when I was younger and can't remember which was which.

Yup. It has a midget, a scientist, and a religion everyone knows is false. Bokonism still sounds like a great religion!

I have so many books sitting in my house, waiting to be read lol.

I don't think I could pick a favorite though.

We have like a mini library in our house and my parents bought tons of books. They expected people to read them. I don't read them. They don't read them. The rest of my family doesn't read them. They just sit there. Collecting dust. Suffocating in loneliness.

I intend to read all of my books... I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I have several books that are half-finished, due to the fact that I'll start reading one book, become interested in another, read half of it and then the cycle just repeats. That's usually the case with nonfiction books though. Fiction books are a different story.

Harry potter, works by stephen king. I also like to read Noam Chomsky and Steven Pinker.
