"Festivus:The Holiday for The Rest of Us" is not a real holiday as we know it but is a by-product of the imagination of writer Dan O'Keefe whose son, Daniel, took the premise and developed an hilarious screenplay for "Seinfeld" called "The Strike!" From there it's popularity grew and many people now traditionally celebrate "Festivus" on December 23rd of each year. It's great fun for a Christmas party since any group of people can do it. Thanks for the reminder on that one john! Wikipedia also has the run down on Festivus...check it out too, it's interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Festivus Side: FESTIVUS
