What is your Emotional Outlet?
What do you do when you need to let out your emotions? Why do you choose that?
Supposing that outlet was stripped from you for whatever reason, what would you do instead?
Plainly put, I tend to exercise until I can't move hardly at all. I like to run, swim, life weights, and other activities to expell all my emotional issues that I am feeling at the time. I like to do this because exercising releases endorphins (sp?) in your brain which makes you happy (happier) and helps me forget about my troubles. Unfortunately I was stripped of this outlet by my leg injury and have yet to find a new one other than just go into a secret location and cry my eyes out. Side: exercise until you drop

Well, I used to play basketball like 20 hours a week. There was literally nothing in the world that could bother me as long as I could go to the gym and get a few games in. But I tore a tendon in my knee and haven't been able to play for like 10 months. Now I just lift weights, not as much fun, but a little helpful. I do have a stronger upper body now, on the plus side. I have two that work for me. The first is talking it out and the other is writing it out. Exercise used to be a part of my venting routine but no more...so talking and writing have replaced that wonderful sport. Even here on CD there are times I'd simply like to call the person and speak about our differences. It's a great way to rid a relationship of misunderstandings or slights and to attempt to have yourself understood as well as understanding the other person. Side: Conversation and writing
Whenever I feel the trouble is having a toll in my life, I also take a time to relieve it by having an strenuous exercise, reps after reps. It's good to pump up all those muscles when you are feeling bit angry and frustrated. I also love to take a run by the beach --and I literally run like hell--and listen to some alternative music if my body won't allow me to hit it hard by the gym. Side: Video Games
