Speaking of headphones, I get annoyed when student employees of my university (library, admissions etc) can't live without their Ipods for 10 minutes to provide me with customer service when I ask for it. It's bad enough when 95% of the student body can't hear anything except their music, it's worse when you try to stop someone on the sidewalk to ask them a simple question.

"When is the next bus?" HuH??

"Where is the physics building?" Whadya say???

I REALLY, REALLY hate it when I am sitting in an empty or near-empty waiting room and some weirdo (or even some otherwise ordinary-looking person) comes and sits RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Are these people scared or something? They need the comfort? Or are they stupid and only care about themselves? I just want to ask them, face to face, why they decided to sit right next to me. But I feel bad. Maybe they just don't know what is meant by "personal space?"

i REALLY hate those fake poser people that not only try to imitate other peoples' appearances, but also try to act chill with everyone only to start drama. they're annoying and have no life.

another pet peeve of mine is people that play their music out of their headphones ridiculously loud. i don't care what music they're into. i have my own preference.

People who are always happy. I don't trust these people, I think they store dead bodies in their basement.

I hate the people that answer questions not directed at them,

the people that talk really loud in an otherwise quiet room,

the people that talk about things they have absolutely no idea about and seem to always have wrong answers,

the people who will do something they think is funny over and over again because they think nobody is watching and they want somebody to see (By the way, I am watching.)

Cell Phones & Call Waiting.

Scene 1: You're in the doctor's office waiting for him/her to see you. Someone's cell phone rings or plays some song I really don't want to hear. It's always LOUD. They sit and have a conversation without the slightest regard for anyone else and the volume of their voice sounds like they're testing the first telephone on earth...CAN YOU HEAR ME??? ARE YOU THERE??? By the time they're through I have information on them I never wanted or needed plus a recipe for an entire dinner made with objects packaged in Cryovac. Before she hangs up I am also aware of what a bastard her husband is!

Scene 2: Hi Maria, how are you? Fine, how are you doing? I'm doing...hold on I have another call...OK! You still here? Yes, was that something important? No, my husband called to say he'd be home for dinner. Oh good...How is he by the way, I haven't talked to...Damn, hold on! OK! JESUS I HATE THAT!!! I'm on the do not call list and they call here anyway. They seem to know exactly when to call too. Well why do you pick it up, you have caller I.D.? Yes, but I never look at it when I'm having a conversation with someone! So how is the new job going? Oh my God, wait til I tell you who I saw on my first day...Hold on, I have another call! This goes on for another 10 minutes or so and eventually I just hang up. I just wasted 25 minutes and know nothing! I don't call back.

Why do people's manners go south when a telephone rings?

OOOH! What about those people who wait until it is their turn at the checkout and THEN they decide to start digging for pennies in the bottom of their purse??? You know, like when you've been in line for 5 minutes and they just stand there looking stupid then finally try to find their money, credit cards, ID, and everything else right when it is time for them to pay. It's not like they couldn't do it in line!! Why??

People who park in the fire lane at the grocery store right in front of the exit/entrance, so anyone coming out of the store with a full cart has to maneuver around the car.

I love it when people tell me what irritates them because you know what I'll be doing shortly thereafter (;

I hate people that expect everyone else to accept their point of view but refuse to accept anyone else's.

You know; People that say stuff like:

I believe that [blah, blah, blah] and if you don't agree then you're a [some negative label]!

When people pick at me in school and they spread rumors about me and who I like at school when I really don't like that person.
