What makes Catholicism and Atheism alike?
To start with, Catholics and Atheists both believe that they have the right to exist outside of Hell. Catholics think that good things they do earn them exemption from Hell, while atheists think they are good only to exist outside of Hell with or without any form of morality. Both are fooling themselves, they are very much alike.
Thanks GrinAche, you have actually added an honest similarity comparing Catholics to Atheists. Both of those groups evangelize for their beliefs, and they both are against Biblical evangelism. Jesus evangelized relentlessly and instructed His followers to do the same. They hated evangelists like Jesus and He said they would hate all who follow Him the same as they hated Him.
Catholics are anti-Christ the same as atheists. Your Catholic brother is no better than you, you both think you deserve to exist outside of Hell and you are both falling down into the fire.
I live outside of Providence, not hell. (Actually, all the rest of RI is, like, "outside of Providence" :-) I've been around the whole state and I can't find a sign of "hell"! Couldn't find one in ANY of the 47 states I worked in (OR the 15 countries). It's definitely elusive. The "Saint" thinks I'll find it, finally. If I do, I'll "leave the light on for him", 'cause I think he's anything but a "Saint". He has these vicious thoughts every day it seems. He'd fit right in "down there". ;-)
I will try one paragraph at a time. I'm giving you my time here, so I hope you appreciated it enough to plod through at least the first paragraph (after this one). I care about you. I even care about those jackass atheists Dermot and Adolfi but they are consistently too hateful for me to read in my debates before I ban them.
You won't understand if you won't believe and you will remain lacking in knowledge of the truth.........so if you are closed minded to the reports passed along through the centuries of the deity of Christ proved by His literal physical resurrection, (and the miracles He performed before He was crucified as well as after His resurrection before He ascended up into Heaven) don't bother reading any more here and there is no point in trying to pin me down with a denomination.
Jesus Christ builds His church. I am a child of God, the price of my adoption into that family paid by God's own blood in His Son. I am bought with a price, my life is not my own. Jesus Christ lives in my by His Holy Spirit who came into me when I bowed down in desperate repentance of all my sin and sinfulness, and believing wholeheartedly that He defeated death by His bodily resurrection, I opened the darkened door of my heart and the Light shined in and I can't stop it from shining out. He is in me a river of living water overflowing, springing up to eternal life and available from God to all who thirst for relief from the pressures of sin which is pushing them down into the grave and pulling them down into the fire of Hell.
You ban people in debates for the same reason you discount people in real life. Because the little box you put yourself in allows you to, which is exactly the way every religious persons brain works.
“I am super duper special and knowledgeable and it only those others with the same convictions as me, that can talk to me.” It’s a permeating desire for a magic guy to put you above others. It’s a sicophantic, immoral attitude that allows people like you to murder, rape children, and then sit at home at night and justify it. There is no obvious delusion than that of deification. And it is at its core a desire to have your beliefs PUSHED into others, so that you might assimilate them, and create an army of deluded rapists and murderers, on a godly expedition into the future, ensuring that non-believers will live a hell on earth, where people like you are still running around polluting the minds of children.
You must be brain damaged from emotional or physical abuse....and on top of that, programmed by public schools to think that you are better, smarter, and stronger than God and empowered to be a rude ass punk. My guess is that you are not out of your young twenties, correct? I feel sorry for you, son. The only answer for your problems is from the hand that feeds you which you are biting.
I don't mind you asking....but there are things much more important than pinning a denomination on me. "Biblicist" best describes my denomination. I follow the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God, in English it is the King James Bible which is the written word of God.
You actually may have made a valid point there, Dermot. They hated Jesus and accused Him of being insane. Jesus said if I follow Him, they will hate me the same as they hated Him so it's your response is not only no surprise but it is honest and I really do appreciate it. I'll give you credit for it, but you've always been far too much of a rabid jack ass me to wait for you to make any more comments. I hope you're not burning in Hell and you still have time outside the fire. Maybe you will come to your senses and ask God to save you.....maybe it's too late and by your attitude and choice you have sealed your fate of frying like an undying sausage in the fire of Hell forever.
No difference.....one believes their is no Hell, the other believes there is no Hell for them....same thing. Saying you believe there is no Hell is the same as claiming to have the right to exist outside of it. Saying Hell does not exist is the same as saying you have the right to exist outside of it.
What is wrong with you? Why are you here? Do they not put up with your warmongering shit in church? It seriously appears that you spend your hours trying to figure out how to insult people from different ideologies you hate for some reason, on a debate site. What sort of religion do you belong to whose members and god is happy with you being so hateful? The one sole thing I respected about religion was their philosophical implications, but your behaviour makes them look like satire.
You are a sinner. You have no right to exist outside of Hell as a sinner.
Your actions and thoughts cannot change the fact that you are a sinner, your actions and thoughts cannot get you out of dying, dying in Hell forever is the damnation sinners deserve.
We are all born innocent as babies. At some point, innocence is lost and you are guilty, deserving to be left in Hell forever. You need to be saved now or you will be dying, and dying forever, in the fire of Hell.
Their a priori assertions about reality are what make them alike.
However, given that Catholics have literally made up their version of reality, and atheists are simply disputing the validity of it, they are unalike in terms of the relative probabilities that either is correct.
The question here is "What makes Catholics and atheists alike?".
Your opinion of what makes them unalike is an entirely different discussion which you are free to make yourself.........if you still exist outside of Hell and still have the mental and physical ability and time to do it. You're done here.
