What makes a Liberal seek out a Socialist ideology, regardless it's terrible record?
It's a good debate.. It's nuts that I have to recreate it in order to participate.. Oh, well...........
You come down on people because they spend their money on frivolous things and NOT on their healthcare.. You also come down on people who don't plan for retirement..
But, I'm curious.... When you become eligible for Medicare and Social Security, will you turn it down? If you don't turn it down, doesn't that make you the SAME as the people you trash???

I LOVE providing a service. I LOVE proving employment. I LOVE supporting my community.. I LOVE making money.. SocialISM, as an economic SYSTEM doesn't work because there's no mechanism for MAKING MONEY.. If you can't MAKE money, you can't feed your family.. Clearly, on innumerable occasions, I've asked our resident socialists HOW they put food on their table.. They don't have an answer because there IS no answer.. Socialism doesn't deal with MAKING money.. It only deals with spending money.. SocialISTIC programs, on the other hand, like Medicare and Social Security work exceedingly well within the framework of rampant capitalism.. Look around.. That's what we have.. Nobody is going broke because we take care of people.. Is it CHEAP? No.. It's EXPENSIVE to take care of the downtrodden.. But, I think we have a Christian duty to do it.. Don't you?? What?? Some of your questions truly amaze me. It's as if you ignore my entire positions on these issues. You are trying to compare medicare and Social Security, that we paid for from our own paychecks our entire working career, with Social programs such as medicaid and others where people get free stuff without ever paying a dime into the program. Until you grasp the crazy comparison you are making, I can not possibly respond. Side: SocialISM doesn't work

"Socialistic programs work fine". A socialist ideology doesn't! Like capitalism, it's a necessary evil for EQUALLITY! Very few, if any, want the ideology, just "pieces parts" of BOTH. Democracy is the ideology we must keep …. and work on it to "create a more perfect union". :-) Side: SocialISTIC programs WORK fine
