Seriously. Gun control through executive order? What the frick Obama. Even the states are disagreeing with him. And yet he still wants to do this. Wyoming and Texas are already saying enforcing his laws in their state will be crime. To enforce his laws, he is going to need to invade both Texas and Wyoming and probably more. What do you think will happen? Do you think the states have this kind of authority? Do you think the president has this kind of authority? I'm curious about everyone's thoughts. This isn't a debate on gun control, but on the legitimacy of this situation.

Partly because he already governs those states, and partly because... c'mon... the Rhode Island militia could invade Wyoming, if they wanted it. It's fucking Wyoming. More people live on my block than live in that entire state. 3

Aside from clearly not understanding how the Executive branch works, as Scout pointed out, I would also like to point out that I was addressing an instance where certain states revolted and rebelled against federal control. When the South seceded from the North, could the Northern government have passed a law to force them rejoin and abolish slavery? Hell no. That's why they fought a war, instead. So if certain states seceded from the US because of gun regulations, this administration could pass all the laws they want and the states that seceded wouldn't give a flying fuck, much less follow the laws. What was it that you said? Oh, yeah, shut the fuck up. I read an article on this just to make sure. It's very upsetting that not only does Obama not understand gun control facts, but he also mocks those of us who would oppose his proposals, saying that we're equating his proposals with taking away all guns. We're not. Any federal gun control is tyrannical, and his proposals are 10 steps beyond tyrannical. None of it is "reasonable" or "sensible" according to the facts in my second link. Now that Sandy has occurred, the United States Government thinks they have an excuse to pass anti-gun laws and take away yet another right from the American people. Just like in the past, this is yet another opportunity the American Government is taking to remove citizens' rights in the name of protection. 1
