Whether or not students should be given homework

Students world-wide are debating whether or not they should be given homework. This has many arguments for both sides. But which one do people believe in more. DO NOT SAY NO HOMEWORK DUE TO LAZINESS!

There should be only enough homework to help one fully understand a concept. That would be a lot less homework compared to what is being given nowadays. Think about it. Projects are not necessary to teach a concept. They can help, but so can light homeworks. The added work from projects and other long homeworks like that just add stress and take away time to sleep. Sleep is essential to one's capacity to learn and perform efficiently. Giving too much homework means less sleep which means less learning and efficiency in day to day performance at school. Many students sleep in class because of how late they slept last night finishing homeworks which did little to boost their understanding of the concept. Therefore, they missed the entire lesson given on that day and did not obtain as much knowledge needed to perform better on a test. Too much homework causes students to learn less in the long run than students who have a much lighter load of work.

I believe we should not have any homework unless a student is failing because homework can cause stress, take away from family and friend time. Cause students to have a lack of sleep, even hurt test scores. Japan hands out little t no homework and there average IQ is much higher than the US's!

This argument is partially flawed in the sense that just because someone is handed homework, does not mean they will complete it. Even though Japan hands out much less homework they could easily still complete a higher amount per average of homework per student in comparison to the U.S..

Understandably yes. But the way the Japanese education system works is a lot like the US, but not the same to clarify. People aren't lazy in Japan, they are smart. And if students don't work on their homework it usually means they don't care, not because they're not smart.

Hello. I have a very busy schedule and I don't have time to finish my homework. Could you provide me with any helpful tips on where to go for help? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello. I want to share my experience with you. To be honest, I know a lot of sites that do homework and I want to say that their prices are not cheap. You will find very reasonable prices for assignment writing services here www.domyessay.net. My sister goes to university and works, so she doesn't always have time to do her homework on time, and I don't always have time to help her with it. Therefore, she often uses the services of this service.

I think it depends on the subject you're talking about. For the easier classes maybe less homework and more for areas like the sciences. Obviously to perfect anything, you would need practice

I'm not disagreeing however I don't think a student should be given homework if they have an A in the class. They don't need the practice however if someone has a C- or lower they could use a little more practice.

Yes it is a perfect reason. Say a student never interacts with family or friends because they are too busy doing every nights 5 hours worth of homework. They will have little social life, even with their own family. That's just depressing.
