The best national anthem in history belonged to the USSR. The lyrics were powerful, and so was the tempo. When people think of an anthem, they think of the USSR Hymn.

USSR anthem.

It may be powerful, I will give you that. However, it is seriously flawed when it says home of the free. When a country doesn't allow its citizens to leave, I question how free it really is. The USSR was a totalitarian government that didn't allow religious freedom. What a crock! The US should have went into the Soviet Union at the end of WW2 and finished them off. They were weak and ready to fall.

Had we gone in and wiped them out the Cuban people would be free right now. The Cubans would be free right now also if JFK would have invaded Cuba and killed that monster.

I think the best national anthem that I can think of is my country's national anthem which is entitled "Lupang Hinirang" or if translated in english, it is The Land of the Morning. I cant really put a video here cause the internet takes too long to process, but I guess our song says a lot about my country. Which means that we have been conquered so many times, and yet we still face every single challenge in our life. I like the song because it says a lot about our country's unsung heroes, and revolutions which changed the development of our country. If you have the time, please try to listen to the song. Oh by the way, it's better of you hear it in Filipino language, rather than the English translated one. But I guess you wouldnt understand it if you hear the Filipino version of it.

I will say the United States has the best National Anthem.
