Yes but as well as giving all of these things to the world (and receiving little thanks and appreciation from our acquaintances to the East) Britain has given itself to the world. We have also been the source of some of the most intricate human minds and geniuses on the planet: Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Boris Johnson, Richard Dawkins, the Conservative Party, and other bands of world-class leadership have been the product of the atmosphere that thrives in such an environment as Britain. The tank was invented by an Australian, tank theory was also developed by Australians as they were attached to many units and problems ensued as to who commanded who. In the end the view was that tanks should be subservient to infantry. Also it doesnt really matter what inventions a country has because most if not all of them are related to other inventions that made them possible. Side: .......
Yes, but the first fossil fuel power plant was British. Industrial revolution made countless things, also tanks, I can't remember whether it was harnessing energy, or the light bulb, but one of the two! Televisions e.t.c. Many more have been mentioned.
