Hi sounds full of life. Hello is like something my Grams uses to address her Friends who have lot more boring stuff to say after the word 'Hello.'

hi The minimum length for an argument is 50 characters. The purpose of this restriction is to cut down on the amount of dumb jokes, so we can keep the quality of debate and discourse as high as possible.

I think I use hello more, but hey the most.

To be honest, I don't even really think about it. And it depends on who I am greeting too.

I use both, determining on the person and the circumstances.

A little more formal for my taste, but it still has a nice ring to it.

i don't normally use hi, its usually hey or hello or hullo or hellu. i guess that even though they sound informal they are more or less friendly. hi is just... too small.. ??

I agree with you, hi is just too small. Not quite sure why. I generally go with hey or hiya for the casual stuff.

i use hiya too :D and sometimes, when i use hi, i feels like i want to end my conversation quickly with the other person, even if i don't want to. so if by chance i do say hi i drag the i of its... making it seem like m the talkative kinds :P

Side: hello

I like "Hello" just because it seems more meaningful to me.
