Which is worse for a parent?
Surely it is horrible for a parent for their child to be murdered, but it must be harder if the body isn't discovered.
A body, a grave, gives a sense of closure. God knows what happens to an abducted child.
A murdered child.

I must have been here maybe.... less than a year. And I created a debate.... something like.... Missing child.... and posted the same picture. I was forced to delete it because it was not politically correct. I thought I'd give it one more chance :) Except..... I can't delete it this time around. But, as moderator, you can. What does your conscience say, Jack? Side: A murdered child.

If knowing yer child had been murdered at least you would know they were "in a better place" if you believed in an afterlife. If not thenat least they are no longer in bodily harm.. If a kid went missing there are oh too many posssibilities of where they could be, what they are doing, or if they are even alive.. Rape, murder, torture, sex slaves, etc.. Side: Child disappeared, no body.
With a child murdered a parent can move on. Without a body a parent will always wonder if that knock on the door is their child, always looking over their shoulder going from hope to paranoia. A lost child can drive a parent into insanity, whereas a dead child will drive a parent into depression and usually an eventual recovery. Side: Child disappeared, no body.

I feel that it's worse for parents to have a missing child than knowing that the child has been murdered. At least the parents will not have the hope that the child will eventually come back one day. And, the parents know that the child has gone to somewhere better - heaven. Besides, the parents will not have to worry that the missing child is suffering out there, or being abused by others. This longing for the return for the child may lead to depression and long term suffering because there is no end to this. Side: Child disappeared, no body.
