This anime was absolutely awful, the character was too cartooney, all of the characters were idiots, and the anime had no plot to it. I actually like reading One Piece, but i just think that the illustrator Ichiro Oda ruined the manga, it would have selled more if a even kid illustrated it. Unfortunately the One Piece anime was canceled when people stopped watching it because all the characters voices changed for some reason. Side: One Piece was actualy entertaining

The English version of One Piece is a screaming nightmare. It was badly edited to dumb it down for a younger target market. Doing that destroyed the plot. The horrible voice actors gave me a headache. The American company (first it was 4Kids) that held the license here in the US is responsible for that disaster not the writer. OP fans are not happy with the way the series has been presented in America. I'm left to draw the conclusion that corporate doesn't want pirates standing against the corrupt World Government being seen as heroes. One Piece is directed at an older audience, Eiichiro Oda has been writing the series for over 10 years growing with it. Even as I type this one of the most epic battles in fiction is currently going on in the OP manga. The anime unedited and in its own language has minimal filler and is just a step behind the manga. Like the manga it is excellent. I recommend reading/watching it via a fan sub group. I think a lot gets lost in the translation when its cold corporate doing the translating Fan subbers take regional dialects and other factors into consideration when translating. Bobobo is one of those animes that is just pure c*. Then again, I think it was meant to be bad. In that case, One Piece might be worse, just because it was seriously meant to be good. But that show does have at least two characters who are actually interesting. Too bad, they are not part of the main crew. Side: Bobobo
