this has to be the most boring sport around not just on tv. all you do is hit a little ball, what fun is that actually? I mean Fishing you actually can have a fight when catching a FISH, in golf what kinda fight do you have? There isn't any. Yes I have tried both. Golf is the worst.
Side: Golf
I have to disagree with you here. Golf is one of the most exciting and challenging sports to play. You can't really gain an appreciation for how talented these PGA golfers are until you actually get out there and try the sport for yourself. With Tiger's recent surge (4 wins in his last 5 tournaments) and his unbeleivable comeback in the Arnold Palmer classic, how can you say this is boring to watch? Check out this video from the 2005 Masters and tell me that's not exciting.

There are some instances where golf can be very interesting to watch, and certainly people like Tiger Woods add dynamic personalities to the sport. If you are rooting for someone, and they make a great shot, it can lift you off the couch. Fishing, on the other hand, has no personalities, no tense moments and generally is less interesting than watching paint dry.
Side: Fishing
Fishing is watching a man play tug of war with a small no armed or legged animal, where the man has a clearly bigger surace to grab and pull from, whereas the fish can only pull from it's mouth, causing pain and getting further away where eventually it will be pulled onto the boat, without permission or invitation. Golf involves many men competing in a game of strength, accuracy, skill and analysis of the playing conditions, not to mention how much variety there is, it's not just water surface but bunkers, water obstacles and many other things. Golf stands a fighting chance of being interesting because there is a goal to beat. Fishing is just "HEY THIS FISH IS BIGGER THAN YOURS, SUCKARRRR" Side: Fishing
