Which would you rather be exposed to for a month straight?

Sweltering heat

Side Score: 14
VS.

Freezing cold

Coronas + Lime + Sand + Sunshine + Bikinis........ - Bikinis = Heavenly 4th of July

Side: Sweltering heat

Having been exposed to both I must say I'd take the heat anytime it's offered. I don't do well in freezing weather at all. My joints and injuries lock me up in pain but even though I know that sweltering heat has its downside, I'll take it!

I LIVE in this. For most of my life I have. I tolerate it way better than freezing cold weather. My body shuts down in cold weather.

Ha, it's funny to hear that argument, because for me it's the exact opposite. I can't do anything when it's too hot outside, and I can do pretty well in a t-shirt and jeans in 10 degree weather.

You know, as ironic as it is, I'm kind of the opposite on that. When it's hot outside, I'm usually comfortable in black sweatpants, a long-sleeved t-shirt and that black hoodie I have... Though I really need to get one without a logo so I don't look like a tool.

...NOT THE POINT. I prefer the cold though because it gives me a reason to dress in that attire. Plus there's no migraines.

Man, I'm weird.

I do better in the heat which is good because of global warming ;)

Aagain last night I had that strange dream

Where everything was exactly how it seemed

Where concerns about the world getting warmer

The people thought they were just being rewarded

For treating others as they like to be treated

For obeying stop signs and curing diseases

For mailing letters with the address of the sender

Now we can swim any day in November

I love the heat. I love going to the beach and I love every little bit of summer. And I can't stand being cold. Especially when my feet are cold.

Okay wait... Is this like a survival situation, or just plain hot or cold weather?

Side: Sweltering heat

It's 102 ferenheit here, I haven't turned on the air yet, and there is not a drop of sweat to be found.

On the other hand, I can barely muster the energy to get out of bed if it's below 60 ferenheit.

I live in AZ and I am used to the sweltering heat and with my central air-conditioning, the heat does not bother me. The cold, I could not stand.

You can always put layers on and get warm but it would be a lot harder with getting cooler.

All I need is some hooch and a few heat trappers and I'd be set. They even show you how to catch heat from the sun on the in- wait you can find everything on the internet. Duh. Ha ha ha. Sweltering Heat gives me migranes. ):

Much better to live in a cold climate where you can

- enjoy knitting intricate jumpers (knitting is very fashionable!)

- sew warm, comfy quilts

- have an excuse to cook warm comfort food

- use your clothes to hide those extra few pounds

- visit the snow and go skiing etc

- appreciate the joys of sitting by the fire and reading your favourite book (without feeling guilty that you're not outside doing other things)

- get warm much more easily than you would get cool in an environment of blistering heat (I've tried both... cold is much better!)

and to quote from a poem about my home state, Tasmania (Australia), "it's never too hot when you fancy a spot of good old hanky-panky!"

I'll take the cold any day!

way way easier. There is a reason that country´s on the northern hemisphere where first to be industrialized; it is because if it is cold you will rather be willing to work up a sweat (to keep you warm) while in a warm climate its hard to get anything done

You can stay inside and turn the heater on, and wear warm clothes.

That's not an eco-friendly solution. And I mean environmentally nor economically.

Side: Sweltering heat

Personally, I can't handle heat. I absolutely detest heat and I cannot stand to be anywhere remotely hot. But I love the cold. I'd much rather be in the cold.

Like I always tell my spouse when we battle over the thermostat ..... it's easy to put on more clothes ..... but I can't strip beyond my skin ...

the cold is much easier to deal with, the heat will sap your moral much sooner. and leave u to die of thirst, the cold how ever dose not do this.

the cold is much easer to recover from. and there are ways to warm your self up, but if it is to hot there are no ways to cool down.

freezing cold by far:D

It's better to survive in the freezing cold Assuming you have lots of snow you could obtain water and you could make a snow cave to sleep in and stay warm.

Side: Freezing cold

I would say the cold. With tones of clothing and tons of snow, one can survive by building a shelter with the snow. Heat dehydrates the person by robbing them of electrolites and water. Its a tough one, but freezing cold is a better fit.

Somehow I can't stand when I sweat but love when it's cold.

And like others said "If it's cold put some clothes on"
