Who Still Believed in 9/11 Conspiracies?

I remember when I first joined there were a shit load of people who believed in that shit.  They seemed pretty into it as well.

It seems that there are more... reasonable people around nowadays, but I was wondering if there is still anyone, who still believes in that stuff, on this site.

Add New Argument

It's funny how you word your debate in the absolutely most degrading way directed at those you supposedly want to respond.

These guys definitely still believe: http://stj911.org/ (Scholars for 9/11 Truth) http://911scholars.org/

If any of you actually have the stones to read any of the scientific studies and article by scientists I would be greatly impressed, but you probably won't.

You were lied to on 9/11. Troll on all you want.

Wow. I guess I'm not surprised, but still... I always find it weird when people still believe in this crap. Like those who think we never landed on the Moon, or that there was someone on the grassy knoll.

I'm always surprised when intelligent people such as yourself say things like: "Like those who think we never landed on the Moon, or that there was someone on the grassy knoll."

That's called the Phallacy of equivocation.

Tell me the truth Pyg, you've never really looked into 9/11 have you? You've probably only been exposed to the more laughable theories about 9/11 and never listened to the actual scientists who have problems with the official story.

Steven Jones, Phd and his colleagues have found and extracted traces of a thermite derivative in the dust that blanketed NYC. If you don't believe me I will find you the link from the conference where he demonstrated this.

You people who scoff don't even know enough about the subject to put up a good argument and rarely even know the official story well enough to understand why we believe they lied.

I haven't heard a single coherent argument so far that backs up the idea of a 9/11 conspiracy. The facts have been presented, but unfortunately we have people without any relevant qualification or experience who peddle ignorant opinion such as "well, it kinda looked like a controlled demolition."

The report has been published, the facts have been made public, and there is nothing that has yet to convince me that America was involved in 9/11. I do, however, believe that the American government had slightly more information about the potential of an attack then they have disclosed, but certainly had no involvement in it.

Tell the truth Xaeon, have you ever actually read the 9/11 commission report?

"Tell the truth Xaeon, have you ever actually read the 9/11 commission report?"

It's obviously an extremely long report, so I've only read sections of it. Specifically, I've read the entirety of section 9, which goes over the events of the actual day.

All I've managed to find on those sites are the same old arguments regarding controlled demolitions, the inability for a plane to have caused the damage at the pentagon, silly conspiracies about planes that didn't actually crash even though they clearly did, etc, etc. It's all the same old junk. Pick a specific topic regarding the events of 9/11 and we'll debate it.

I know someone! He also thinks there's a new world order that controls everything from tv commercials to who wins elections. Fun to hang out with, but don't get in a private drunken conversation with the guy.

I certainly do not believe that take on the whole 9-11 theory. I believe Xeon is correct when he says that America had more information then they let on but there was certainly no homeland hand in this.

"America had more information then they let on but there was certainly no homeland hand in this."

This statement is self contradictory.

If you know someone is going to murder someone else and do nothing, you are an accomplice to murder. In the law and accomplice has the same degree of guilt as the primary offender.

Now multiply that times more than 3,000.

I don't believe in any of those stupid conspiracies. The planes were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and a field in Pennsylvania. They were hijacked by terrorists most likely associated with al-Qaeda and Bin Laden. Refusing to believe this would just be an insult to my region. I live in New Jersey and a lot of people in my county lost their fathers, brothers, mothers, etc that day. Most towns around me even have constructed 9/11 memorials and I personally saw some of the aftermath from Atlantic Highlands by looking across the harbor.

I know a guy that has all kinds of crazy theories including this one. He also thinks that George Washington was a terrorist.

Obviously there was a conspiracy, it's just a question of whether there was any American foreknowledge or involvement. If we take only the undisputed facts, there are certainly some interesting questions which could and should be answered. For example, where did all the thermite and thermate residue in collected dust samples come from? Why won't NIST release their data to the scientific community for peer review? Why did NIST eliminate heat conductance through metal as a parameter in their computer models?
