Which do you prefer to read?

Non- Fiction

A good grammar is far better than any work of fiction, save perhaps the works of Verne and Lovecraft.

I used to enjoy fiction, but after reading several hundred novels, I have moved on to non-fiction.

It is much more interesting and deep, although the plots generally suck. Character development is 0.

But it is still very interesting.

I like both honestly. I read more fiction though because it's easier to get my hands on a good fiction book than a non-fiction book. But I honestly prefer non-fiction, but only if it's on a topic I really enjoy already. For example, koalas ;)

Side: Non- Fiction

Both are great with each having unique attributes, yet a non fiction book is better due to the fact that I can learn something.

I get really annoyed about the "waves" genre of fiction comes in. For example, when Dan Brown made a ton of cash from "The Da Vinci Code" suddenly a lot of other books about religious conspiracies and chasing for clues in historical artifacts appear.

Then we got that book of filth entitled "50 shades of grey" and the main bookstores (primarily WHSmith) are filled with books that have near identical covers. I would have taken them for the same book if I hadn't noticed they were written by different authors.

Side: Non- Fiction

I love fiction. I like to escape the realities of this world. For example, I just finished reading a book about how Obama is going to win a second term ;)

I'm gonna end up eating crow for this, huh? ;)

I live non-fiction. Why should I read about it?

To educate yourself on the rest of the world...

You think just because I gave an argument like that I don't educate myself on the rest of the world, like science?

I'm not the one taking the fiction I read as real, so... try harder.

And the debate is about "Which do you prefer to read?"

Reality sucks ass until the point of death. I'd rather read about Professor Snape molesting the teletubbies. :P

Before I even clicked on the link, I knew it led to Cracked.

It's a good website.

Fiction gives you a sense that your life may not be as messed up as this person's or that person's. I love fiction because I can escape reality for awhile and just have some fun!

Side: Fiction

fiction is more adventurous, and entices the reader. Most non-fiction books don't appeal to the younger ones.

Side: Fiction

Fiction is often more interesting, but that also depends on what type of fiction it is. There are some nonfiction stories that are really amazing too.
