I personally like both companies, but I have to go with Nintendo. They both have great games, and great mascots, but Sonic was created to compete with Mario. Sega doesn't have many franchises either, as I can only name Sonic and Super Monkey Ball from the top of my head. According to IGN, the worst Sonic game by rating is Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, with a score of 4.2, and the worst Mario game is Mario Party 8, with a score of 5.2. Also according to IGN, 11 games developed by Nintendo got a score of 10. There are only 27 games that have scored a perfect 10. Sega's games didn't place in those 27. I think I have proved my point. hi evereyone i came to tell you why sega is better than nintendo.sega is better than nintendo because sega has created many cool games but the one that they made,that all of us sega fans love is sonic the headgehog.sonic is better than mario because if mario tried going into sonics world he would get blown up by bombs.sonic can do marios world so easy all he can just do is run to the flag and thats it sega is better than nintendo. By the time Sega and Nintendo were actualy competing (in the 90s) Nintendo didn't have a chance against Sega. I was a proud owner of a Sega Game Gear and I couldn't understand all the other kids that loved Game Boy over this one. Other Sega consoles were quite better in some aspects too. But this question should specify a space in time, because nowadays nintendo is still on the tracks and Sega is pretty much too dead to compete and be compared. And if you go just by their mascot as I see in the description... well, that's the same as saying you hate a lamborghini just because you hate bulls. Side: sega

Back in the 90s they did much more than just show off... But yea, nowadays sonic is getting a bit too overrated by them. In the description you kinda made it look like it's the mascot you hate overall, since it's pretty much the only reason you point out. Sega and Nintendo are competitors from way back before you were even born (I saw your age, as I was suspecting you were young by your writing) and they both have made their stand in the evolution of consoles. They both had their pros and cons. I just stood by the side of Sega because I remember this decade and by that time Nintendo was kinda seeing Sega from way behind. I'm not so into consoles anymore and I kind of don't really know what's up with Sega besides still being focusing too much on Sonic... So, yea, when you call Sega wannabes, you have to keep in mind that they have crossed the wannabe barrier by far, a long time ago. The name Sega bears as much, if not more, historical value as the name Nintendo. Side: sega
