Who has more rights: Prisoners in America or High school students in America?
I have seen this issue raised several times on the internet, but I thought it would be a good idea to start a debate on the subject. I have had a look around and there are plenty of arguments supporting both sides - so this should be interesting.
Please try and have some kind of refference in your argument though please; 'arguments' like "kidz do cuz prinerz are evil f@gs" will most likely be downvoted (and that phrase is not exaggerated...sadly I have seen something similar before on another website).
Also I'm not American, I'm Australian - I have my own views on MY country's justice system, and I want to know more about others views on other country's systems :)

As an ex high-schooler and, admittedly, a man who once spent six months in the federal pen, I can honestly say the following: prisoners are freer than high school kids. It's simple. They can do what they like with their day; go outside, work out, read, write, sleep, better themselves. Meanwhile, high schoolers are stuck in a huge building being force-fed information that they'll likely forget within the hour. Side: prisoners

In the USA prisoners have free medical care, not true with students. In the USA prisoners get a free education, not true for many college students. In prison one gets free room and board, not true for students. In prison it's almost guaranteed you'll have more action than the jocks at school. Side: prisoners

Even in school kids have more rights. Prisoners are aloud sertin things but students have more of a say in what they do. I understood that but its true. And its cool. Im sorry if it seemed off what I was saying but I ment to bring it that way becuse prisoners have no rights 42/7 while kids have some. Side: prisoners
The topic is between Prisoners and Highschool students..Why are people putting in to play the free education they receive compared to college students? Thats entirely different. Last time i checked Highschool was funded by taxes as like the prison. Prisoner might have certain rights but the biggest right they dont have unlike highschool is FREEDOM. Their behind bars and surrounded by negativity. Rapists, murders and etc. They lost this right from there circumstances. Highschool students have more rights. Highschool students have the right to drop out. where as you cannot drop or leave the prison when you plea. As far as programs and benefits the prisoner have. HIGH SCHOOL students can obtain the same benefits by going to their counselors. Side: Kiddies
