Hey, listen here "ChowderSouth", Sunset's daughter is my entire world. Her sunny disposition and can do attitude light up my life. And I did get a lot of human contact as a child but I swore to Father Craig I wouldn't discuss it outside of the "Happy Circle". So, go away, jerksauce.

Ok, alot of the stuff you said i agree with, but come on now, have you ever even read the bible? John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. So giving your life for your friends is love, which the bible commands us to do to our neighbors and even enemies, so its obviously not a sin. And also Jesus died BECAUSE he loved the world, so according to you would that make him a sinner also? And the Bible clearly stated he was not, which is why he of all people had to die for us, because he was the only perfect human. Not to be rude, but you are kinda making Christians look bad, being self-centered and believing a book that contradicts itself.

I don't see it as being about personae so much as about situation.

My parents mean the world to me.

But what if my mom was a serial killer with absolutely no motive? What do i do then?

On the other hand:

I meet a stranger who is obviously doing the best that s/he can do in their scenario. Would I give my life for them?

'Who' is generally regarded as a 'somebody' but in this instance I would add that I would give my life up for my country if it be God's will. As for 'somebody' I would have to say that I would give my life up for God if it be His will.
