that makes no sense. You shouldn't go and eat people. My friends a vegan and now I'm worried that you're going to eat her.

Vegans are delicious... so lean, little fat. You should give it a try. They taste a little like chicken.

A couple times in my life I tried for a month or two to go at least vegetarian. None of them stuck. If I remember right I tried:

1) In my late 20s, because I'd been making a lot of bean dishes anyway and just wanted to try it out,

2) Again in my 30s, because I had a digestion issue for a little while and I wanted to see if that would help, and then

3) Again in my early 40s, because I was newly single again and was interested in dating a vegan I knew

And then tied in with those tries I can say I've eaten the full variety of soy and seitan and grain based protein products.

Here's my own conclusions:

1) The stuff designed to taste like meat substitutes either don't taste like it or have such weird textures or gut-feel to them you feel disatisfied or gross after it.

2) I found it to be a time suck, because there is a lot of rethinking and planning and food prep. It's so much easier to fry up any random meat.

3) I did not personally experience weight loss or feeling better or more energy or any of the alleged benefits from going to it

4) I don't personally find it ethically essential. I don't feel bad that I eat meat, and in fact I believe we're an omnivorous species and there is really nothing to feel guilty about for wanting meat.

5) The evils of the meat industry I can try to minimize by making good choices.

Meanwhile, if others want to be vegetarian or vegan then that's fine. I'm not telling them what to do with their lives.

Side note: And I want to confess that when I hear about vegetarians or vegans forcing their cat or dog to eat vegan it really pisses me off. If you don't want animals to eat meat then don't choose pets which biologically are geared to eating meat.

I don't believe in eating vegan.. It is completely nonsense on what they eat... You might as well not eat and live like a cow eating grass everyday! Carnivores like myself probably will totally not agree with a vegan lifestyle.

If you're a carnivore, you will soon be dead. How old are you? I am surprised you managed to reach such as age as to be know how to use a keyboard.

I tried it for a week on a dare, it was fun experimenting with preparing means and challenging to go that extra mile to make them interesting and taste good. I really got creative ... but yeah I would never go vegan for longer than that, maybe Ill do a week again some time.

You need the nutrients of milk, especially if you're still growing/developing.
