Interesting how when the Republicans owned both houses of congress, the White House AND the Supreme court no one uttered a peep about banning abortion. Why do you suppose that is? It's because your Republican owners have absolutely no intention of ever banning abortion because the abortion issue is the best vote getter they have so they'll never do away with it. They know that if abortion were ever actually banned it would cause an almost immediate cataclysmic social upheaval that would end the Republican party and the conservative bowel movement. Mothers of dead daughters would be rioting in the streets and Republican leaders would lose their power. Republican politicians are the last people that would ever allow abortion to be made illegal. Meanwhile they'll promise the weak minded such as yourself that if only they could ever get both houses of congress and the White House and the Supreme court all at the same time they'd do away with abortion. They know you're too stupid to remember that they had exactly that not long ago and did nothing about abortion when they had the chance. Keeping things just as they are now insures that they can keep that ring in your nose and use it to lead you to the polls to vote for them every election cycle. I have changed my mind, about Republicans. I will vote Democrat, but WHICH Democrat? I have been sucidal for one year, and that led me to vote Republican in the past, but I am not going to, in the future. No contest. Even if one accepts the bizarre religious argument that aborting a fetus is murder, it is a quick death. It is also very probably a painless one given that the central nervous system has not yet developed. In contrast to that, we have a situation where a baby has a mother who resents it and who can't cope with it. Perhaps she resents the father also. That baby is almost certainly going to grow up full of hate itself, and probably will hurt others as a result. Hence, pro-lifers propose ruining many lives as a solution to cutting one short before it begins. Side: Prolifers.

Bringing unwanted children WHO CANNOT BE CARED FOR, into the world is a crime against humanity. In Africa alone some 94,000 people, half of whom are children die a painful and lingering death EVERY FIVE DAYS.
