I'm Black and I'm proud but todays black African-American youth hold an anger towards white youth who have absolutely know connection with their elder white relatives who may have been racist through out the 50's on yet they still receive the gruff off of people from that they have never done anything to but now the role has reversed and whites are now receiving the racist comments. Why is there so much hatred towards a generation of white people that have done nothing to the black race? People hold onto to a past that is not their own all to much these days. Also it is astonishing that an African American can go around calling other African Americans and even non-African Americans the "n" word and it is no more than a "what's up" to them. However if a white person who has never really known the roots of the word or even might know the roots says the "n" word around an African American in certain societies he could be murdered. People today need to just let go of the past that is not even their own. We are a new generation, a peaceful generation who is working towards a better tomorrow. How can we accomplish any goals if we are always fighting over the color of our skins? White people for the most part have let go of the past now it is the African Americans turn. When Martin Luther King Jr. said, "I have a dream", I don't believe that he dreamed about killing each other. He had a dream of everyone standing together as one body, one body of Christ. We must all remember that in God we are one body of Christ and God sees no color only the people that he loves so dear. So in conclusion blacks have taken up the role of racism and we all need to stand together as one body for the better cause. I know that it sounds a little racist toward my own race but I'm just telling the truth the way I see it. Side: black people
It's people like you who can start making the diference. If you stand next to a black person who shows those ideals of revenge for all the things he himself had nothing to do with, you and other black people who share that reasoning can try to show where his ideals are flawed and useless. I do that when I hear stupid comments on black people, or any other race. I don't let words dissipate unnoticed. And much less actions. I my country there's not much of that revengeful hatred. Well, it better not be, whatever portuguese people did they did it centuries ago. It's more the bullying type and the drug-dealing type of criminals (not only blacks, but mostly...). As for the N word... A stupid and unfair taboo, in my most honest opinion. Though, I get called nigger all the time by a black online friend I have, and he doesn't care if I do the same to him. (I'm caucasian btw. Or white. Or rosed if you prefer. Or pale. Or discolored. I don't know what's the worse word for whites, but anything is fine I couldn't care less:D) But there's still a lot of racism all around with all races, I guess. I think you make a lot of good points... I don't know if you watch Survivor or not but there's a black guy on there who is nutty as hell. He irritates everyone. Well last night finally someone called him crazy. The black went nuts and said that crazy really meant the N word! What? Now I don't know if that makes the black racist or not... I really think he's just nuts, but I thought it was a good example of exactly the kind of stuff that doesn't need to be said. Side: black people

You cannot really answer this question unless you get the statistics of every white person and black person. I doubt that one of you commentors did that. The easiest way to answer this question is that people are racist. People and not white people and not black people. People in general are racist. Side: black people

Uh oh! I think you may have opened a can of worms with this one. I not sure who is more racist... I suspect as a percentage it's pretty similar... it really depends on where you live I think. A lot of white racists live in more rural areas and a lot of black racists live in more urban areas. I have been called racist on line many, many times because I don't support the majority of Obama's policies. It's absurd to say the least. I will most likely vote for Congressman Allen West in the primaries if he runs... Side: White people
There should be an option to create a response in a neutral position. Who is more racist? Brainless people I see racism in both blacks and whites. From what I see, racist white people do not generally equate the world’s problems as being caused by black people unless they are low IQ hillbillies. Instead (although they may still have low IQ), they most often apply inaccurate stereotypes to black people. I wouldn't normally consider stereotyping as being racist, but these particular stereotypes are based solely on the fact that a person is black or Mexican, etc., therefore racist. On the other hand, I most commonly see racist black people using race as a reason to turn an audience in their favor. I couldn’t say how many times I had been accused of being racist just because I didn’t agree with or like someone who was black, as if there is no other deciding factor for disagreeing with or disliking someone. I haven't seen a single African American with an anti-white, well, anything, ever. But I see bumper stickers and such with a Dixie-flag, or the likes and I can't stand it. But, I also think that African Americans can make racial stereo types just as well as Whites. For instance a kid in my class named Ty insists that African Americans are a violent race and can only solve problems with violence. He also says that only African Americans can make good music, dance, etc. He is African American and says he is ashamed of people like Martin Luther King Jr. because they used non-violence in their protests and other activities. Odd? I think so. Side: black people
