Who is your favorite musician of all time?

Last time, I made a debate on who was better: Michael Jackson or Madonna. But some of us felt (including me) that this was just another Pepsi VERSUS Coke debate. So I decided to make a better debate. Yes, that debate is still going, but I'm just putting out this one so that way it isn't just strictly focused on two people.

The king Elvis no one comes close , I used to like Jackson until his fall from grace as in his liking for kids

Elvis is okay, but he's just not for me. I appreciate that you like him though.

Thanks , I like all your choices except the one I mentioned

Right now I'm listening to Johnny Guitar Watson, and I want to say Johnny Guitar Watson.

King David was the greatest musician of all time....his psalms are still part of the greatest selling book of all time, the Bible......

Have you got his boxed set ? Actually the bible is up there as a bestseller in fiction , however the Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung, also known as the Little Red Book, has produced a wide array of sales and distribution figures — with some sources claiming over 6.5 billion printed volumes, ; off course The little red book is not a work of fiction

Personally, I like a lot of musicians, but if I had to have a top ten list (not necessarily in order), here's what it would be: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Billy Joel, Eminem, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Dr. Dre, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and Elton John. They were music pioneers that shaped the music we know today: pop. Let me know who you like in the comments below!

Shaping music and you say Eminem? as in hip hop?.....OmHeavens.....

2Pac, Eassy E, Biggie, NAS, Jay Z, Andre 3000, Ghostface killah, Rakim, KRS one, LL cool J, Kool G Rap, Ice Cube, Big L, The Game.....

and you say what ?

Eminem?

That commercial musician(The mistake people make judging between hardcore or genuine musicians and commercial musicians who don't even understand to scruitinize the lyrics written for them.....and they always fool a lot of people with the senseless things they say...all that is needed is some hot style and good rap technique when they actually ain't speaking any sense)?

Xbox guy? NBA etc? commercial commercial commercial....

many rappers today aren't learning from Eminem, why?

he didn't shape anything....

if love him say you love him ,fine.

But don't exaggerate anything.....

Eminem is a great Master of Ceremony..his style, technique easily charmed a lot of people for the nice rhythm of the noise but not descerning people like me.

He started speaking sense lately....

ATTENTION THE TOP 10 LIST HAS CHANGED: Billy Joel, Prince, Madonna, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Queen, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift are now the singers on my list.

Hello L:

His name is Bobbie.. He was the singer in my prison band, Not Guilty & The Frameups..

As far as pure enjoyment of the music it would be close race between Prince, Elton, Bowie. As far as the magic and deep lyrical meanings it would be close between Bowie, Marilyn Manson and Trent Reznor. Hail to The Big Thinning! It's time to warp drive Darwinism

I don't know if I have a favorite musician per say but I'm really enjoying the band Postmodern Jukebox. I especially love Haley Reinhart's version of "Creep". They do old timey takes on modern songs and some of them are just fantastic.

Y favourite music is the Eckist mantra , 'Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeee!!'

Has no author or copyright.

So i sing it myself and i am my favourite musician.

So now you are educated. You know that jesus existed..............................

Jesus was mudered, why can't we find the body of such a popular figure.....how hard is that to find

when the catholics have that of his disciple peter.

He is alive

Jesus was a master of Ceremony.

Multitudes followed him

He only didn't say the new testament is a lyrical song book....else he would have taken best lyricist awards from 1500years ago...till 2017

and the rate at which people acquire the bible like a music download/purchase online, he would have gone multi platinum...Gold.

(If governments should put some special tax on bible purchase do you know how they will make?)

He is the world most famous followed by Jackson.

Why is it that the singers most people admire, and shamefully even some Christians admire them, are a bunch of perverts?

LittleMisfit(1745) Clarified

You're hilarious! You complain about them being a bunch of perverts while praising King David, a guy who had multiple wives and concubines, and who paid 200 foreskins to buy one of Saul's daughters. Sometimes you're just annoying, but then there are times like this when you just crack me up. Thanks for the laugh!

David repented of his sin and got right with God, unlike you who love your sin more than life and do not care that it is taking you into the fire of Hell.......and unlike the perverts who are admired by so many lost people, and shamefully by some Christians.

Elvis was the greatest of all time, and it is not even close. He was simply amazing.

I'm 62 years old so I don't know or care who's popular today. James Taylor is the one I find myself listening to in my car the most. Sweet Baby James.

Ry Cooder comes to mind. Boz Scaggs is awesome too.

Nothing nowadays comes close.
