Why are Western Socialists, Socialists?

Why? Because they ran out of money. So what happened in Venezuela? They always run out of money when the government takes over the means of production, and they destroy it. What happened next? They then started printing money.

Which then did what? Devalued the money they had in circulation. Devalued it so much that they are using Venezuelan money to weave purses because it has absolutely no value.

But Western socialists carrying on about socialism have never had to eat a rat to have food for the day, so they continue to clammer on about how great it will be, clapping like mindless seals.
And meanwhile, in the real world, Bernie Sanders makes over $1 million a year somehow and doesn't redistribute his wealth...

Because whenever the consequences of the Socialist's reckless policies of spend-spend-spend--borrow-borrow- brings the economies of the nations which were sufficiently gullible to vote them into power comes crashing down around them they can pass the baton* over to the Conservatives. Once the austerity realism of Conservatism has regenerated the bankrupted economies the loony left are voted back into power and the whole miserable cycle starts all over again. Alright but as a 'democratic socialist' AKA progressive who believes in tightly regulated capitalism for any non-essential industry, I am quite curious as to how you attack us as we make up the majority of the high IQ members of the left. The type you speak of are the romantic lower IQ members. The entire Western Europe and Australia run on this regime and are flourishing immensely, as is Canada among other nations that are transitioning towards it. 3

The form of government that genuinely would outlaw private industry in and of itself is indeed defunct. Socialism in that form (its pure form) is horrible to live in and only works by tyranny. You are completely correct. Capitalism is just as ugly due to no protection at all for the lower class (in real capitalism the middle class disappears as eventually there's only aristocrats and serfs). -2
