Why are black Democrats so concerned with getting the white man's acceptance?

Black's have an intrinsic awareness of their position in the pecking order and abide by nature's structure of hierarchy.

The fate of black nations that try to supplant whites are clearly depicted in the economic and humane disasters of Zimbabwe, South Africa, Somalia, Liberia, etc.

The woeful state of cities with predominately black administrations such as Detroit and Chicago, is self evident.

The wily old black Democrats recognise the wisdom of falling in behind their white colleagues and enjoy a free ride to success in their slipstream.

You're thinking of black conservatives whom the Republicans now depend on to parrot their most racist dogwhisle arguments.

Hello W:

They don't want acceptance.. They want the white man to get their boots off their necks. Fuck how they feel about it. Pretty simple, really.

What do you mean by this?

Hello A:

It was metaphoric, of course.

Nonetheless, if you come from the school of thought wherein we’ve handled racism, then you'd be incredulous that I'd make such a statement..

But, if you come from the school of thought wherein racism NEVER got handled, then you'd UNDERSTAND what I said..

Here's a free history lesson. Slavers are the ones who wanted slaves to be counted fully in the census, that way they could get more southern representatives in Congress. Abolitionists in the north argued to count a slave only as 3/5ths so that southern slavers could not get disproportionate political power.

Incidentally, the other 2/5ths was resolved after the civil war. You weren't there for that, but you were there when institutional racism was literally criminalized. That's where we are today. Institutional racism is illegal.

Ha , ha sure thing buddy you live in the US and don’t even know what goes on there or rather you do but ignore it , here is the view of a BBC reporter after 20 years working in the US ......

It is easy for white Americans to compartmentalise the past. To see the injustices of yesteryear as having no relevance to events today. African Americans don't have that luxury. The past is the present, the racism is the same.

I know this because having reported from America for nearly a quarter of a century, I'm seeing the same stories of police brutality, discrimination in housing and jobs, and black voter suppression, as I saw back in Los Angeles in the 1990s.

Suspicious deaths in police custody followed by rudimentary inquiries, followed usually by the exoneration of the officers involved. It's a pathetic cycle of indulgence that allows, even condones and encourages, bad behaviour.

There's another example of the past being the present.
