Asked if race relations in the U.S. are better, worse or about the same as in February 2017, about 7 percent of black respondents said better (I would assume the Trump backers), 65 percent said worse, and 27 percent said about the same.
About half of African-Americans said blacks have a “large disadvantage” in “getting ahead in the United States.” Among the other half, 29 percent said being black is a small disadvantage, 11 percent said there is neither an advantage or a disadvantage, and 10 percent said blacks have an advantage.
Only 1 percent of black respondents in the poll described themselves as Republicans, compared with 59 percent who said they are Democrats. But 59 percent is much less than the overwhelming share of black Americans who vote for Democrats. Many blacks, like Americans overall, largely vote for one party but are not particularly aligned with it: 16 percent of blacks described themselves as independents, while 21 percent answered “none of these.”
Polling done by the Pew Research Center has suggested that among self-identified Democrats, blacks and Latinos are less likely to describe themselves as liberal than whites. Data from this AP/NORC poll comports with Pew’s findings: The majority of blacks say they are moderate (44 percent) or conservative (27 percent), while just 26 percent said that they are liberal.
Forty percent of blacks in this survey said they live in suburban areas, and 19 percent said they live in rural areas. Often “inner-city” and “urban” are used to describe black people or black communities, but that perception is no longer accurate. (Census data shows that the majority of blacks do not live in cities.)
Hmmm.. If black people are NOT oppressed, they wouldn't NEED a list like this:
1. Be polite and respectful when stopped by the police. Keep your mouth closed.
2. Remember that your goal is to get home safely. If you feel that your rights have been violated, you and your parents have the right to file a formal complaint with your local police jurisdiction.
3. Don’t, under any circumstance, get into an argument with the police.
4. Always remember that anything you say or do can be used against you in court.
5. Keep your hands in plain sight and make sure the police can see your hands at all times.
6. Avoid physical contact with the police. No sudden movements, and keep hands out of your pockets.
7. Do not run, even if you are afraid of the police.
8. Even if you believe that you are innocent, do not resist arrest.
9. Don’t make any statements about the incident until you are able to meet with a lawyer or public defender.
10. Stay calm and remain in control. Watch your words, body language and emotions.
If the cop asks for your ID, but you don't think you have to provide it, ask the cop. If the cop says you have to provide it and is lying, you can take it up with a lawyer later.

In my car, was a black man.. Nobody thought anything of it.. But, when we stopped for lunch, we were surprised that he didn't want to go in.. Of course he knew that he'd be refused service and be told to go around to the back door..

Empathy with what you imagine a situation is like is not the same as experiencing the situation. I have experience with police interactions and I'm familiar with the data on the matter. The vast majority of black traffic stops are the same as white traffic stops. The main difference is that if a white person encounters a prick of a cop they likely suspect the cop is a prick, but if a black person encounters a prick of a cop, they are likely to suspect a racist cop, even if the cop is black.
Studies have found that right wingers are better at guessing what the left winger position is on a given subject than left wingers are of the right. Put another way, right wingers are better at putting themselves in lefty shoes.
As for the list, I didn't know it came from BLM and I don't object to anything on it. I think everyone needs to be told how to interact with police and it should be explained why cops respond to certain behaviors the way they do. That way the public can put themselves in the cops shoes.

About the same number of black slaves who had the nutsack to resist white Democrats the first time. It's interesting how they kept blacks from reading for a reason and are now blocking blacks from information via censorship because they don't want blacks reading, costing them their white, elitist thrones. I must admit that I do wonder how many times a day a white liberal who perceives themselves as a god opens up their coat for you to feed while commencing in some type of act that includes slirping and sucking sounds.
